Have you made the switch yet to the 8112s and 8100s? If so, how are you liking them? Since I still have the front Halo/Elka's I plan to reuse those, but will likely replace the rears and am in the process of debating which brand and model to use. I've been looking at the Bilstein 8100s or 5165 but am open to other brands/models.Most are happy with their choice of kit and most have brand preferences.
I’m a Bilstein guy and I’ve been very happy with the 6112’s and 5100’s but I’m going to upgrade to the 8112’s and 8100’s.
Also, unless your Ford dealership of choice sells aftermarket coil over kits, no Ford dealership will install said kit for you. Yes, there are always exceptions but it’s very rare.
I didn’t need any type of sensor recalibration with my Bilstein setup so I can’t speak on other brands.
I’m sure others will chime in to answer your question.
No, I haven’t maid the switch yet but it’s definitely coming by the summer of this year.Have you made the switch yet to the 8112s and 8100s? If so, how are you liking them? Mostly I just want to tweak peoples’ OCD BWA ha ha haaaaaNo, I haven’t maid the switch yet but it’s definitely coming by the summer of this year.
I’m sure I’m going to like them just as much as the 6112’s and 5100’s.
With that being said, since you already have the Halo/Elka front setup and I take it that you’re happy with it, why not just use the “matching” rear Halo/Elka setup?
Although many do it, I’ve never been a fan of mixing different brands of shocks.
