Leveling question

Well look what Santa just dropped off.. interesting enough, the label say 3". Also you can see the adjustment rings. Does anyone know exactly how many rings on on the strut? It appears this is set at the 4th slot... youtube from R.C. appears to have 5? Which in therory makes since.. 5th notch is 3"?

What did you end up doing with the adjustments on these struts? And how many inches of lift did you net?

I just installed the Rough Country 2.5" struts on the front of my Tremor. I also left the rear blocks off that came with the kit & mine is only 1/2" taller in the rear.

I am wondering did you measure bumpers to ground or edge of fenders to tires? I am thinking of doing the same with the rough country, and I am wondering which leveling kits are the best made these days? I had rough country back in the 1980’s and they were one of the better one back then.

I measured from the tire to the edge of the fender. I measured again today & the front "gap" measured 8.75" & the rear measured 9.25". I had Rough Country on my previous truck so that's why I went with them on this truck.

Thanks for the info, I think I am going to do the same with leveling kit and only lift the front and leave the rear alone.

Hey I had the 2.5” RC M1 kit installed and same thing I am 1.5” lower in the front. I have talked to rough country and the 2.5” M1 kit is exact same as the 3” M1 coilover he told me. I just took my shock out and it looks like it is on the 4 ring setting which I believe also there is 5. I am going to take mine to shop tomorrow get compressed and see if there is 5 rings.
