Light Bars: F150 Paladin 180W LED Bumper Bar

I mounted up some lights similar to @Cblaxx19 but changed a few things.

I didn't want to cut the center support form my louver assembly so I have 2 separate banks of 5 lights each.

This made space very tight so I couldn't mount them to the louver holes like he did. So instead i mounted a piece of 1/8" aluminum flat bar to the bottom of the louvers which required drilling some holes. Then shimmed the bars up by 1/8" to center them in the lower grill opening.
I've got 8 of the lights wired together (thru a relay) triggered from an upfitter. Then 2 DOT Fog pattern lights wired separately directly to one of the 5a upfitters - since the lights draw 2a each this is good to go. Backlights are all linked together direct from an upfitter as well, total power on the backlights is 0.6a so shouldn't have any issues there either.

Lights are Diode Dynamics SSC2 Pros. 1 pair of fogs, 2 pairs of driving lights, and 2 pairs of spot lights.

Still need to clean up some wiring and get the lights aimed.. but here you guys go!!

Nice Work! Love it! cant wait to see lit up pics. i don't think the small gap in the middle will be all that noticeable.

Did you put the Fogs on the outsides? it looks like it. i was originally planning to do that but then realized that since they are recessed a bit, the grill is going to cut off the beam pattern to the outside so i put my fogs in the center so that the beam pattern didn't get truncated.

i also commend you on making your own wiring harness. although fully capable, i went the lazy route and just bought a bunch of y splitters and daisy chained them all together.

That is a good point about the fogs. They are currently on the outside but are pushed as far forward as they can go thinking that wouldn't block the light to the sides.

I'll have to see if the light is cut off at all from them and if so I'll move them to the center and probably put a pair of spots on the outside.

Here’s some pics of the fog lights only. All backlights. And all the lights on.

I did move the fogs to the middle of each side with spots on the outside and then driving lights in the middle.

Still need to get them aimed and then lll do so light output photos but these things are BRIGHT

Thanks for the in depth pics, I think I’m going to try and mount a 30 DD stage series light bar.

Any body running any of the stage series light bars. I’ve seen mixed reviews about output, it’s an older light in their lineup. I’ve also heard they are redoing it and adding backlighting.

I didnt like how the mounting was to screw into the bumper facia. That’s not reversible.

So I went the custom route and mounted 10 2” pods behind the grille. Super stealthy and tons on light. Went the pod route because I wanted amber backlighting.

CBLAXX do you have a picture of that custom wiring harness for the 10 Pods. I need to make one for 6 and don't want to re create the wheel! I have 4 Rigid Radiance Harnesses but thats too much harness to run with all the relays.

i didnt make a custom harness. i used a single heavy duty harness from diode dynamics and daisy chained all the pods together with a bunch of these splitters.

Just make sure the main harness is capable of handling the current draw of all of your lights.

That looks awesome. Do you think it would be possible to mount 10 on the top of the grill as well? I’m all about overkill lol

no. not unless you completely remove the active air shudder assy. there is no room behind the top section with that assy in there.

Quick question for the group. I'm looking to add a low-profile light bar. I've been looking at https://www.f150leds.com/collection...0-paladin-180w-curved-cree-xte-led-bumper-bar as an option. Has anyone installed this unit on their Tremor? Happy? I realize there's much brighter units, but I'm trying to keep things stealthy.

Similar question with https://www.f150leds.com/collections/2021-f150/products/2021-f150-cree-led-hood-mounted-spartan-kit.

And, (silly question) any issues/concerns in a car wash?

Thanks in advance.
Installed it today. Solid design and sits perfectly on the valence. Easy wiring, wired the supplied switch to an upfitter switch. Incredibly bright.

How did you mount it? To the grille? To the lower painted trim piece?

The brackets mount to the valence which pops off and can be drilled into for the bolts. I was unsure of this as it is plastic, but the team at F150Leds was very helpful and supportive and the directions are easy to follow.

Love the look of this light, been almost exactly what I’ve been looking to do. The only hesitation is the drilling into and using the plastic trim piece for mounting; seems like long term damage waiting to happen… maybe not… I’m not a mechanic LOL

Damn that's sick
It’s a really clean look. The fit is snug and solid. Tremor bumper set up uses the small brackets so it keeps a stealthy appearance with the hard ware. Yes you drill into the valence but other set ups such as behind the grill require cutting into other part like the louvers, etc.

Lame question - I guess I'm lazy. Have you been through a car wash? Is it sold enough to handle it?

I’m in Florida so we get pounding rain and vicious storms and it’s been great. Here’s a review from YouTube - definitely a car wash would be no problem.
