What's new

Looking for buying advice: buy now or wait for 2024.

I ordered my 150, and it took 6 weeks from order to delivery.

Which options did you get if you don't mind me asking?

The bottom line, The longer you wait the more it will and the less you will have.
My 2020 Platinum FX4 lease was up in Dec of 23 and the Residual at the time was 20 less than trade in. I decided to extend the lease with Ford and order a 23 Tremor after seeing one in person for the first time. It was shipped to the dealer last week, but not sure I will take delivery with these crazy high interest rates and I am sure the Lease costs are going to be double what i have been paying. Anyone recently lease through ford?

The configurator now allows the addition of heated steering wheel, and advanced security pack. When I ordered in Feb, it wasn’t allowed.
There is an option to select heated steering wheel. There is also an option to select heated steering wheel - removal to save $140 but I also wonder if this option is available to speed up one’s build. My point being maybe you can at least select it now, but maybe it will add months to your build. Just speculation on my part. Also, bluecruise appears it might be back when doing a build, but now you have to add it for an extra $1995, and it might delay build time as well. I built my exact 402a just now that I bought from my dealer and price seems to be the same but having to add bluecruise now increases it an extra $1995 instead of it being included (which I’m assuming was the case in the MY21 and MY22).

I'm pretty sure 24 will get a refresh. He presents this as mostly speculation, but I suspect he knows some of this stuff is for sure.
He didn't even mention he was 6' 3" in that video! Mitchell does a great job with those vids.

I ordered mine with the blue cruise option at 1995.00 and it was not chip delayed. I was also told that the ford bedliner would delay it also but the truck was built last week and already shipped to the dealer within 1 week of build.

Did you order HSW too? Because now I'm mad I didn't wait haha.

For what it's worth, I put an order in on April 4th. Although the configurator doesn't force the removals (Heated steering wheel, active park assist, bed cam and advanced security), when the order was made by the dealer they were on there.

Surprisingly supposed to go into production the week of 5/15.

There was a report on an F150 FB page the other day of someone being quoted $2,700 per month for 36 months to lease a $77k Platty, which also included a $5k lease incentive (in Kansas). Dont have any details as to what the downpayment was (had to be 0) or what the residual was, but apparently the dealer stated the monthly cost was high because lease rates from Ford right now are bad.

That's just insane, the lease rates should be very good because of the high residual values. I just think its going to be really hard to justify getting rid of my 2020 Platty with low mileage for a 23 Tremor with a payment that is double.

Completely ridiculous. Again, not enough info from the post to understand why the payment was quoted so high, but there was a response from the GM of the dealership stating it was the correct rate and the potential customer was free to come sit down and see the numbers. I dont know if it was Ford's "bad" rates or a really shady dealership.

I was wondering because it shows those configurations but then also shows the removal configurations. I don't know. It's all so messed up. Shouldn't be an issue in the first place. Driving around a $75K truck without a heated steering wheel haha.

When blue cruise was an option before it went away for a however long (now that it seems to be an option again) was it an extra $1995 or was it included at no extra charge? Just curious. I honestly didn't even know blue cruise existed until a week after I brought my truck home haha.

Yes, BC was $1995 and I do not recall it ever going away.

When I bought mine in January, I went online to build and price and I believe BlueCruise was not available to add to a build at that time. I feel like I would have clicked on it to learn more about it. But I could be wrong. But that makes me feel a little better about not having it. I thought it was an included item, then taken away, and now being added but at a price. Thanks.

Found this kinda surprising. Not F-150 related, but could be. The new Superdutys are hitting the lots around here. I am seeing them marked up $5K and $10K if they have the HO 6.7. It just makes me mad that they can do this. Being a refresh it might not warrant the dealer FU charge. but it will be the new kid on the block when they hit the dealers.

I have a PCO expiring July 5th - does anyone know when the order pool opens for 2024s?
