Mudflaps that don’t suck

I'm trying to resist not getting the ones captain got even though they look so good. Damn forum.

I got the 10” long 12” wide with white REK Gen logo. I think they’re perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Just ordered them, 8" x 12" (I like the look a little shorter) in black. $470 shipped imo is a good balance for quality and price. I like the ones @captain lead foot has but would rather save a few hundred bucks.

I'm going to have the shop throw them on when they do the wheels and level.

What options did you choose when you ordered these?

The mud flaps look great. Wasn’t going to originally going to get any. Didn’t want to get ones that would get hung up if off roading. May have to change my thought on that.

12” wide standard height cuz I run an 11” wide tire. Tremor logo they laser cut out. The backing plate is done in deluxe gold and I also paid extra for the black screws. Oh and I also got the “trigger trim” the little rubber strip that goes between the mud flap and the body

I don’t believe so on their ig page lots of people have both. As long as you have clearance on the front end.

I chose these for the following reasons

-looks way better
-kickback offers better clearance
-better coverage for larger tires
-allows flap to stick out with offset rims to look more proper/cover better
-these Are made in AB Canada so basically supporting local.

I love my roc bloks . Purchased through ford. Damn expensive but so was the truck LOL. Came with a cool ford blackish logo. I like how pliable they are , great coverage top quality IMO.

Main reason to go with a style that isn't stiff such as the husky is they will hang on stuff and tear off, while the flexible ones just glide over the object. If your running off-road it helps to prevent damage by them just folding out of the way where as the molded ones can snag, tear and even damage the wheel well.

Hi Cranbery. I was wondering how you like the 8" flaps? Do they keep enough mud and silt from spitting up onto the body? Also curious if it flexes enough to keep from snagging on things when crawling off road.

Love them. I took them on the Georgia Trails and they were great. They seem to be protecting well and i like the look a lot. Would recommend.

Great to hear, I'm looking to follow suit with these. So they really do flex to slide over any hard objects that may bump into them huh?

They don't flex a lot, they are still metal. But they are thin enough to not be super Ridgid.

Thanks so much for the info. Lastly I'm curious if the mesh sections let any mud through? Are there any benefit to having mesh instead of solid? Also I'm going to stick with the oem wheels and tires, would you recommend the 11 or 12" width in my case? Thanks so much.

Either width would be fine, you can adjust where exactly you install it too. The mesh let's some through, but not a lot. It caught most of the GA clay when I was up there. The benefit is more of the look, it provides some protection where most mud guards wouldn't go that high or extend that far out, while providing a certain look.

Ah so I can get the 12" version, and tuck it into the wheel well if I don't want much sticking out of the wheel well, then adjust them if I change my mind in the future on bigger tires. Thanks so much Cranbery, you're a pretty good mudflaps salesman. Now its time for me to find out whether these things play nice with those husky wheel well liners I have on.
