They are definitely not ideal but good to about 14 on the volume. After that Ford starts to dial the bass down as the volume increases. The factory oval sub is garbage. Multiple ways to fix it all. Depending on how much you want to throw at it? Sounds Good has a sound dampening kit with hidden sub that has great reviews but even that is around $2700. The focal kit on their site with upgraded speakers and amplification, subwoofer and dampening is over $5700. Again reviews rave about the improvement but $5700 not installed. I have a 402a with B&O unleaded and I’m thinking of replacing the factory sub with an under seat single 10” sub and dedicated sub amp from Skar audio. Then doing the Sounds good door fillers and dampening kit. If that’s not good enough I’ll swap the door speakers. The problem comes down to how many speakers the Unleashed has versus how many are you willing to give up or how much do you want to spend. At the end of the day it’s a F150 not a Bentley. I’m not spending 8-10k for louder music and more bass. I’m 52 and go to concerts multiple times a year. Nothing is as loud or sounds as good as a live performance. Besides I’m not trying to destroy my hearing more than I already have

. I like quality over qualtity. It’s really ghetto or redneck depending which area of America you live in but honestly my pro PA speaker (Harbinger 4412) ,
- 130dB Max SPL
- 675 watts RMS (450W LF + 225W HF)
- 2,500 watts Peak
- Class-D amplification
- Custom XR 12" LF driver and PEEK HF compression tweeter
plugged in the rear power outlet and using the Bluetooth is louder and sounds better than any stereo I have heard at $5000. And that set up costs $500 and it’s portable to the bed or to your backyard. Not loud enough, you can link a second speaker. I did that at the last concert and people even commented how good it sounded and loud it was

. Little did they know it wasn’t the truck stereo. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Not the prettiest but gets the job done. With all that said it’s not a permanent solution so I’ll upgrade my stereo for driving with a little more bass and volume but I’ll still rely on the Pro speakers for tailgating and pregaming.
