Anyone running these tires?

I’ve been researching replacements and would like to move up to a 295/70R18, but I’ve been hesitant because most of the tires I’ve found in that size are Load Range E and weigh 60+ lbs.—roughly 12–20 lbs. more per tire than the stock Grabber A/TX.

I had pretty much assumed everything in 295/70R18 was Load E, so I was surprised to find this standard-load Recon Grappler at only about 53 lbs. It also has the same 116 load index as the stock 275/70R18 Grabbers.

Ideally, I’d prefer a Load Range C tire for a little extra casing strength, but I don’t tow and the stock tires have been adequate for my payload needs. I’d also like to avoid as much of the MPG penalty and ride-quality loss that can come with moving to a much heavier Load E tire.

Curious if anyone has run this specific SL version of the Recon Grappler, especially on a Tremor. How is the ride, road noise, MPG, and off-road durability?

Best, Johnny
