Just turning colder here in western Maryland so have been remote starting in the mornings to defrost windshield, but, when I go out to get in truck....nothing. No heated seats, no heated steering wheel and most importantly no defrost or blower for windshield. I'm set for remote start climate control(Auto) on the Sync 4 touch screen. Then, When i press the start button then seats, steering wheel, and HVAC are on? This happens when I remote start with either the FOB or the Ford app on my phone. Now, occasionally through the summer i remote started with Ford app to cool down truck and it was working.... But i cant pin down exactly when it stopped working. And I bought this truck in April and never really used the remote start to warm up the truck... Has anyone else experienced this issue. Thanks...

Have you checked for updates?

Yes Sir. No updates available.
Definitely odd.
I’m not sure if this will help but it wouldn’t hurt to try.
Do a Master reset, not a soft reboot of the SYNC system or, disconnect the battery for awhile so the systems in the vehicle can kind of reset themselves.

So I was reading where if your trucks remote start climate control is set to (auto) the blower will not run initially, but will slowly ramp up to speed as the engine warms up? Hmmmm. Makes sense…But if you are in (last setting) the blower will start right away to whatever your fan speed was last.
On another note, remote started the truck after work today. It was 75° outside. Got in the truck and blower was blowing cold air and my driver seat was cooling. So seems to be working. Like I said earlier, I’ve never really remotely started the truck since owning it with frost on the windshield.
So maybe remote start needs to be in auto for the summer and last setting for the winter?
I changed the setting to last setting with air to the windshield, heat high and fan on high. We’ll find out in the morning.

I just tested this a couple hrs ago when I got home. Went into the remote start settings and turned off both autos. I did my normal routine of hitting the max defrost and steering wheel and seat. Shut it down and went to the garage and let it sit a while. Then I hit the remote start. Let it sit running for a couple minutes. Went out and opened the door. Defrost was cranked but the seat and wheel weee NOT on until I hit the start button. Maybe I redo the seat and wheel to auto….
