Overhead Switch Ideas

Ah gotcha lol. How hard was it to mount and wire?

The painful part was sticking my hands in and grabbing the wires, and fitting my fat ass under the dash haha. It's all fairly easy to do.

Did you just run the cable around the windshield and down?

Sure did, and then coiled all the extra tucked up behind the footwell fuse box. The new bronco comes pre wired for these things which would have been nice.

Finally utilized Aux1, hooked up my radar detector 🤣
Just out of curiosity, why wire your radar detector to a switch if you had to route it to a fuse box anyways? Wouldn’t you want it to always come in with the key on? Not saying it’s wrong to do it how you did it, just trying to get an idea of how wiring stuff to the aux switches works.

The switch wires go behind the fuse box from under the hood. The aux switch can always stay on because it's powered only when the key is on. If my kids napping in the back or I'm just doing errands I can shut it off easily. Plus it's fun to have it on the switch.

I did it because I can, that's what I told my wife hahaha
