I ended up getting it on Black Friday "sale" ($50 discount ). I've had it on for a couple of weeks now. So far, I like it. It may not be the most practical for some cases, but it works for my case. And it sure looks nice.

Hope it eventually works out for you. I'm down here in Texas so I won't have to worry too much about the snow and ice .

I had zero issues in Colorado with mine. Now been 3 years and still working fine. Very minimal water intrusion occasionally

I feel bad for guys that are having bad experiences, because I've really like mine. I live in a snowy and icy environment too, and haven't had too many issues with leaking
