I just switched to a Uniden R8 for some reason. We'll see if it sticks or I go back to Valentine.

I've had the R8 for about a year and a half or two years. I think I've only seen it fall once. I use it in two different vehicles so I bought an extra factory suction cup, not an aftermarket one. And of course two cheap wire taps for the power mirrors. I hope you're running highway radar along with it, it updates a lot quicker than Waze. Here are some pictures of it in the tremor. My camera is mounted in front of the mirror. And with it mounted in my commuter car.

Yes highway radar integrates with R8 through Bluetooth. I read though Iniden
has their own app now. I don't know if it's as good as highway radar. I do know if you put in a police location on the highway radar app it updates in about 10 seconds.

I tapped wiring into the mirror. Used a 3m rigid glass mount to avoid any vibration and the ability to mount high and out of the way but still in sight next to the mirror.

Yeah that area is where I really wanted to put it but I could find mounts that worked up there without being floppy as shit. The Uniden's mount weird preventing a good tuck like that

This one is very sturdy. No movement at all.
