There’s lots of info on this forum or the F150 14th gen forum. The shifter is cheap and prone to failure. I never folded mine down but still had to replace it at 31k miles. You can manually get it to neutral under the truck for the wrecker to pick it up. The dealer will have to replace the gear shift module. There are some youtube videos where people have gotten it working again but only to drive it to the dealership.

Edit: It requires connection to the mothership for the new GSM so DIY is difficult. There is a TSB for the problem.

This happened to my work truck, a 2021 F-150 XLT a couple years back. Took them a while to replace it too, not sure why.

Not sure why they had to make it so complicated, feels like asking for problems.

Oh man. I locked up the truck. Went for lunch. Came back and it’s working. F…ing electronics. They just don’t make them the way they used to. Thanks all for your comments. Still love the truck. TREMORRRRR.
