Shopping for new tires. Any suggestions?

Update FYI- Ford is doing buy 3 get 1 free tires (Perrellis are on the list) on the 15th this month. All discounts etc stack with the deal. So with an alignment ($119) this month thru Ford it should be about $1250 installed with the alignment if anyone is interested check your stealership. I'm going to wait til the 15th.

I just wish Pirelli’s offered more sizes. I would consider, have them on my wife’s Explorer and they are fantastic. Still leaning towards Falken for my truck. Maybe 35x11.5

Just bought Bridgestone Maverick for my Tremor,
I have to say I was hesitant at first but after a couple thousand miles I can say I really like them, there quiet and smooth, Discount Tire, cost about 1200$ out the door.

I had 2 sets of KO2s on my Raptor and just upgraded my Tremor to KO3s. I took my KO2s through deep snow on road, and in the mountains, river crossings, deep mud, and sand. Loved them. So figured KO3s would be just as good if not better. Only have about 500 miles on my KO3s so far but so much better than the grabbers

Damn I just did the 295 G3s at Discount for 1700, I would have done these instead for that price!

Went with Toyo. I wanted a 12.5 wide tire but my rims make them stick out 1”. So searched for a 34”x11.5 and the Toyo AT3 weighed the lowest and was in top 3 ratings on tire rack. Got 285/75/17

I am looking at the Falken Wildpeak A/T4W for my 2022 Tremor. I drive 4mo of the year in snow and lots of gravel roads in the summer. So I needed somethign that is decent at both. I will likley go for 295/70R18 using the stock wheels and no level/lift. I may go up to 35 x 12.5 if I decide on a 2.5" leveling kit.

Do you all think Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT at 295/70/18 on stock wheels no leveling will fit? They don’t come in 285/75/18

M.T Baja Boss is the best all around A/T on the market and it’s not even close. If you need an A/T that performs like a M/T offroad but glides like a KO2 onroad, that’s the tire you want. Amazing road manners. Quiet. Great wet performance.

My SAS 3G 4Runner is running a 37 Baja boss and finished the rubicon, doesn’t get better than that (I acknowledge there are various tires that have cleared the rubicon, just pointing it out).

I'm not 100% on nationwide as I didn't ask. I would "assume" it is and they wouldn't just offer thru a select few dealerships. They did say that Ford was having the sale so I would call your local dealer and check with them.

very timely discussion for me as i need new tires pretty bad. i'm at 55k miles on the Grabbers and they are cupped like crazy, creating significant vibration through the steering wheel and foot pedals, and gotten really loud on the highway. i drive mostly highway with the occasional romp through the deer lease and i tow about 2-3 times per year. North texas so almost no snow but plenty of wet roads and occasional ice.

Up until this thread i thought the Wildpeak's were the go to recommendation. first i've heard of the Pirelli's.

Pirelli also had a $100 dollar mail in rebate that apparently you can stack on this. If that comes through it will be $1,037, either way great deal.

That’s what is great about the age of information. I have read multiple reviews that rank the A/T4W as marginal in the rain and snow and others that have them as very good. More positive than negative reviews but nevertheless you can pick and choose what to believe. About the only thing that is consistent is the weight, they’re heavy but as some stated, heavy but absolutely planted. When I get a few more miles on the Grabbers, I am leveling and going bigger, probably the Falken tires. Not 100% committed to the Falkens but if I were to level and change tires tomorrow the Falkens are my choice. Snow, slush, rain, pavement, off road they seem solid. I don’t go off road much, but I want to be good when I do. I live in area that gets shitty weather in the winter, I want to be good. I live where it rains, I want to be good. I drive my truck daily on hard roads, I want it to be good. I don’t tow a lot, but I want it to be good. In my research, the Falkens check each box, maybe not the best at any, but overall they seem to be good. Just my thoughts.

I am definitely going Wildpeak AT4. Decision made….need a level too. Hard to give up the Grabbers at 23k miles that still have a lot of tread. I want both now.

I have ran the Falken at4w for a year now and they have done outstanding, in rain, mud and snow, even with the accident I just had the tire was in good condition even though the rim was destroyed. They are a little heavy if you get the e-rated tire but honestly never noticed the difference. Now I just have to find another Tremor with everything I want.
