I am looking for a small refridgerator for the back floor....Notice no 12 volt cigar lighter plug in back..just 2 ,5 volt usb and 120 volt . I have 2000 watt inverter. What is better to use to power it..the 120 volt using the invertor and the 2nd battery or install a 12 volt cigar plug ?? Which is more efficient ? Many fridges seem to come with either power option. Thinking using the 120 as to save the main battery for starting .

12V is going to be more power efficient since energy is lost in the form of heat during rectification.

Dometic makes some really nice 12V vehicle coolers, so does ARB. Both are expensive but worth it.
