Got it home. Kagu 3D matts fit nice. Coverage is iffy but I like the clean look. Stereo sounds great. Like the tires choice. The gator backs or similar are the right flaps. Fords wheel well liners are just that….they are designed for wheel wells not going down the back sides to cover up the shocks etc. Yakima rack is made well top quality. Retractable, same as a retrax but Ford brand is solid needs some breaking in. Infotainment along with all the other buttons will take a bit to learn.
Love the color, now Ford needs to build mine!

Called Ford yesterday. Basically they know what I know, that my order is confirmed. No ETA on VIN or anything. Was told by the very nice customer service rep that I should call my dealer, as they have better tools that allows them access to more information.
So I called the dealer and they used their better tools to tell me what I know already. Order is confirmed. No ETA.
So I didn’t expect any news, and so I guess I’m not disappointed.
My 2001 7.3l Super Duty with 217,000 miles is still running great. Just hate paying for diesel for my commuting for the next however-many-months.
Could be worse… :)
Sorry forgot to respond to you! I think that is what we are going to be seeing for a while now. Yah we learn more stuff on the forum than the dealer knows all together lol. I'm still hoping we have NAV and Satellite radio on our trucks, "supposedly" it only affects the 400 and the 401A trucks. That's funny, I have 99 SD with 215,000mi on it. But it's a V10, it's been a great truck.

I went with tux mats. They have wings that continue down the sides of your seats between the door and the rails. The front wings match up to the rear wings to continue with that coverage to the back they also cover that step plate right there as you enter the truck

Well after almost a year of waiting I finally received her. Got to keep her for a whooping 24 hours before loosing her for a week while she is getting PPF'd and window tinting. Luckily only lost the Self Parking feature. Hopefully it will be something I can add back later, was really looking forward to using it in the tight spots. Now let the fun begin and the wallet empty with all those extra things "mods" I will look at.

Im happy with the color for sure. It took almost a year to get? Insane. I’m having problems losing my Bluetooth connection and not able to get it back. The trailer backup feature when adding the sticker to trailer ford provided hasn’t worked yet. I can’t figure a bottom anywhere to open small door in middle of console. Pushing it back in slightly allows it to close but opening ….
Did yours come with any undercarriage rust?

Did not appear to have any from what I initially saw. Will take a closer look though when I get it back.

So this morning I went to look at my Tremor order status for fun since I couldn’t sleep, clicking on the “view online” link from my original email order confirmation from Ford, and this is now what I get:

Hadn’t seen this before. Maybe indication that I’m getting bumped further down the road…2023?
Or some sort of update.
Regardless the “cannot be found” message is comforting. 🫤

Wow that looks good!!

Is there a difference between “matte” & “stealth” ppf? & can someone highlight the main benefits from applying ppf (besides looking awesome!) - does it protect from paint chipping?

Also; what are the specs for your tint?

Did I say it looks really good!?

PPF= Paint Protective Film so yes supports resistance to UV, scratches and Stone chips.

The stealth and matte PPF are the same. Yes as Escape Hatch said it protects from UV, scratches and chips. When they applied the PPF they applied the stealth to the painted sections and clear to places like lights, door pillars etc. The PPF that I had applied also has a ceramic coating so I did not have to have that done as well, they applied ceramic to the wheels and glass for me.

I keep my vehicles for 10 years on average so for me it definitely is worth it. I would have done it even if was not just to change the appearance. Normally i just get the strip on the hood, a pillars and roof but inevitably i get a stone chip above or scuff marks on the door so decided to do the whole truck.

For the windows I had 35% applied to the front doors and 70% applied to the front, rear doors and back window. This is my first time with the IR coating and it does seem to make a difference

Thank you for replies! Few more PPF questions:

what “maintenance” is required?

And how does it hold up to briars/mesquite limbs rubbing on it at the deer lease? If you get a scratch in the ppf; does it require a complete redo? Does the ppf “hide” scratches better?

Ppf is New to me for sure; so I appreciate the education

There is no real maintenance to speak of, you just take care of the truck like you normally would by washing it. It is recommended like with any car that you do not use a car wash or if you do ensure that it is touchless, but I would do that regardless of having the PPF on it or not.

With regards to hold up to briars and mesquite limbs that I cannot answer because I have not put my truck through that kind of treatment "YET", but it is meant to protect for stone chip and the like.

video on wrap

The better PPF's are self healing so if you get a tear in the film (obviously depending on the tear) then you can apply heat or in some cases just the heat of the sun, will cause the tear to heal, otherwise yes the whole panel needs to be replaced. I am lucky that the company that did my truck will do a free replacement of damaged panels once a year for the warranty life of PPF, with some exceptions of course.

Some people say that it can damage the paint underneath when you try and remove it, that may be dependent on the installer. The same company who made that video has a video where they removed the clear PPF from a Lambo and replaced it with a Stealth PPF

This is my first time doing the full PPF as well after seeing some other people who have had it done here on the forum, here is hoping it is as good as they say. If anything i really like the way it turned out appearance wise
