I have a '24 Tremor 402A with the 3.5L Ecoboost. It is currently 100% stock but I plan to upgrade the suspension with the Halo Stage 1 kit. I am looking at purchasing an Ember 221MSL camper which is 26' 1" long with 5850 lbs dry weight and 7550 GVWR. I will have a weight distributing hitch for certain. I live in Estes Park, CO in the middle of the Rockies and plan to be towing across the mountains in Colorado as well as in the flatlands where it always seems to be windy.
My question is how well this setup will work towing in the mountains and with crosswinds in the flatlands? I'm pretty certain there's plenty of power to pull the load, but am concerned about how soft the leaf springs are and if I'm going to have problems with sway, porpoising, or other issues.
Any advice?
