Tuners for 3.5

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. IF and when I tune mine, I'm going with ZFG Racing. Adam really knows the Ecoboosts and he is also a firefighter. So I like to support smaller companies and help a fellow FF out with his business. He holds the records with the Explore ST's.

I have used MPT, 5*, Lund and Palm Beach for tunes for all different vehicles.

Old thread, but I went Ford Performance and it's fine. Very noticeable, but much "safer" than a 3rd party cranked to the limit. 450hp/500ft lbs is nothing to sneeze at. But you have to run premium.
Now that gas is $5/gallon, I went back to stock and 87 for now as I drive 50-100 miles most days for work. When gas is back in the $3 range, I'll load it back up.

Now that we are in 2026, are the 24s and 25s still VIN locked for tuning? I have a 2024 402a F150 Tremor and want to tune but this is the first I've heard about a possible ECU change needed....

How's the customer service from 5Star?

Their CS is great, they answered their phones and helped out when needed. At first I could not get the file uploaded and they helped me figure it all out ! So Far no issues, still running 93 performance. Still debating with myself if I should change to 91 performance just in-case I leave the midwest area when traveling. I keep the OBD tuner with me, so in an emergency I could just re-flash on the spot. No regrets with 5 star, last F150 had MPT and they were great too.

Just carry octane booster with you, 32 ounces should be enough for our tanks. I'm sure you are near 93 more than you are 91?
