šŸ› ļø What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Today I added a skid plate to replace the transmission cover AKA theā€œsaggy diaperā€. The skid plate is steel with a powder coat finish, I added a rubberized I coat to the pan to deaden any potential sound issues.

Threw the spare on and went to Discount tire where I bought them. Had a dentist appointment so I left it there. Guy calls me up and says the ā€œhookā€ that went into my tread block kept going into the sidewall so I need a new tire. Said they go by tread depth and since it’s only a month or so old they’re covering the whole tire.
So I drove home on 3 295/70R18’s and 1 275/70R18. Asked the tire guy if it’s ok to drive 50 miles or so and he said it’s fine as long as I don’t engage 4WD… Hope he’s right

Sold it. Bittersweet but I went with a 2026 platinum pb this time. If they make a Tremor with the powerboost, I'll be trading in the platinum. It was tough to pass up on the current rebates and interest rates Ford is offering. Plus Ford threw in 2k in private cash to sweeten the deal. Thanks to all that helped me make my Tremor a little better over the last 3 years. This is a great forum with helpful members. I'll be checking in on your builds so that I can make this new platinum look a little less like a grocery getter pavement princess.

You were very fortunate. Clearly you drove away just as a dangerous mental patient with a hook for a hand clawed at your tire. Did you hear any strange scraping or thumping sound on the roof or side of the truck before driving away?
