Sorry if this has been covered in detail recently, I always have a hard time searching for topics on the forum.
My 2023 Tremor in California is nearing the end of its 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I plan to keep it for a long time. I have shopped through the finance people at a couple of high volume sales dealers in the LA area for a Ford PremiumCare extended warranty at 10 years/100,000 miles. One quoted $5,400, the other $5,050. Both told me their prices were non-negotiable and only slightly higher than their cost. Neither would respond to my offer of a lower price. Granger price as quoted online is $3,140, Flood Ford price was, I think, $3,050. Both LA dealers told me that the price for warranties from Ford for dealers in California is higher than for dealers in other parts of the country. All of my research online indicates that Ford's price is the same to dealers all over the country, but both dealers held firm that they pay higher prices.
Has anyone with a Tremor (or any Ford vehicle) that is registered in California found a dealer in California that has prices competitive to Granger's? I would rather assume the financial risk myself than pay these inflated prices.
Even though it is tempting, I do not want to use a false address or any other means to get a warranty from Granger or similar out-of-state dealer. And I am not interested in 3rd party extended warranties.
