I have the exact same issue. It typically happens at speeds >60mph. I only have 3,000 miles on the truck but I'll bring it up to the dealer at the next service.
Same here, just had it happen over the weekend and thought “that’s weird for a brand new truck.”. Same as the OP, I was able to push outward on the rear upper corner of the window and it would lessen or stop all together. Will note it to the dealer in my next visit as long as it doesn’t get worse or overly annoying before then.I have the exact same issue. It typically happens at speeds >60mph. I did the 3m tape fix last week before my 1k mile trip for thanksgiving and it seemed to reduce the wind noise however its still there. I even made my wife drive the truck so I could listen to the passenger side window to see if it had the same issue...nope.Just so everyone knows I am the OP on this thread. I did the 3M back when i first bought my truck. Few thousand miles on it and i have not had any issues. Maybe one day I can bring it up to the dealer but i don't have faith in my local dealer so I am glad to have found a solution myself.
Do you have a good close up picture of where you put the 3M tape? I see you said you were going to post a picture but didn't see one other than the one with the red line from the pic you found online. Thanks in advance!Hey Guys,
I use these forums for info and ideas and wanted to shard my experience in hopes it helps someone else. Other night and yesterday had a slapping noise on my drive side window at highway speeds. I was noticing that once it stopped if I rolled my window down and back up it start again and I could stop it by pushing on the window outward. I imagined at highway speeds with a head wind it was flapping back and forth making that ticking/ slapping noise on the window.
Once home I went around to all the window seals/weather strip at the A pillar and notice the driver side one had WAY more play then the other three. I rolled the window down and put double sided 3M tape between the gasket and the gloss B pillar and smashed it together. Double checking it now it is firm like the other three and so far have not noticed the noise again. We will see if it holds up but for anyone experiencing this I wanted to throw this out there. I will send photos when I can to explain more. I attached a photo from the internet with a red line in the exact area where the gasket was flopping around and needed to be adhered more to the B pillar.
Circling back on this as I see many are still having the issue. After this service and replacement I have never had another issue with noise. It sounds like faulty part from assembly, I just hated using 3m for a brand new truckMan it took the part forever to get to the dealer, or it took me calling them to find it. Either way, sounds like they validated the issue and replaced the part
I took mine in for service on this issue and they replaced the weatherstripping on the driver's door. Required removing the door panel and window so I'm assuming it was the weatherstrip around the actual glass, not the door like I thought.Circling back on this as I see many are still having the issue.
