Wiper Blades

I swear they are putting something in the windshield washer fluid these days. It doesn’t matter what brand you buy. They all seem to last 1/2 of the time they use to. Probably made it more environmentally friendly at the cost of rubber and silicone wipers. Or cheapening out on the ingredients so they can charge more.

The OEM wipers lasted 10 months before they were streaky and squeeky
Have been running the TRICO Silicone Ceramic™ (90-2222) 22 Inch for 7 months.

So far they are quiet, wipe well, time will tell about longevity.

Anyone have experience with Scrub Blade wipers?

I've been trying to work with them for a special group buy price.
I have them on both my Explorer and Tremor - I used to buy the Bosch Icons and the Icons lasted a very long time. If you look around the net you can usually find the Scubblade for less (Walmart had them for 19.50). So far I like the Scrubblade's (it's been 7 months on the Explorer), they are as good as the Icons but we will see how long they last.

My 2023 Trenor has reached the end of the OEM wiper blades actually wiping off the windshield. Can anyone on here recommend at great replacement blade? There's too many out there to try & decide on so was hoping some of you could narrow it down to just a few different ones. Thank ya
I've always used Bosch icons of course we have winter for 5 months out of the year

One of the first things I do with my vehicles is to replace OEM with PIAA. For the Tremor, I put on PIAA 97055 (22") Si-Tech Silicone for driver and passenger. I've always had good luck with PIAA. Tire Rack usually has the best fitment guide, although if you put in Tremor specifically, it says that there aren't any matching products - just use regular F-150. Amazon has them, but if they're on sale from Tire Rack, it pays for the shipping. I like the included silicone wipe-down packet prep with the PIAAs. None of the wipers are going to last beyond a year though. On a related note, I had an issue on my Jeep where the Rain-X windshield washer fluid (orange junk) clogged the low fluid sensor. That was fun to drain and fix. I've avoided anything Rain-X just because of that. I''m not the first with that problem and the sensor clogging.

I had an issue with the headlight washers gunking up on my Land Cruiser not long after I bought it and had refilled the washer reservoir with the orange Rain-X stuff. It may have been responsible for a little partial clogging on my previous Grand Cherokee as well now that I think about it, plus it leaves a slightly hard to wash off residue at the edges of the windshield. I quit using that stuff a couple years ago and have good results just using the cheap blue Super Tech -20f rated stuff from Wal-Mart in everything now.
None of the +32f "bug cleaner" formulas seem to do anything significant and the risk of damage if winter comes and I forget to run down the reservoir in a truck just isn't worth the risk. Winter stuff for me year round, I just stock up when it goes on sale.

I always replace with OEM blades as they seem to work the best and last the longest but I'm sure there are plenty of other strong opinions.

Picked up some Scrubblade black's for evaluation. Out of the box, they're streak free. But let's see what the Vegas sun does to them.
