X PLAN

Are you saying 3% under invoice or under MSRP? X-Plan, from all I have seen, will get you about 5% off MSRP. To me, invoice refers to dealers cost.
Invoice my dude.

Call a different dealer. They don't have to honor the discount but it seems that most do. My dealer Blue Springs Ford in Kansas City area does if you are close. Awesome people to work with so far.

I just called Mullinax ford asking to order a tremor with the x plan pricing and they told me they do not honor it for Tremors and raptors. What did you have to do to get them to honor it?
The sales guy asked if I was military and I said yes and I would get $500 off. I told him I have the X-plan and he then went to the office and came back with the paperwork I posted. Here's my sale's guy name "Joseph Juliano". Best of luck.

Thank you!

Hi everyone, just wanted to remind people of an often overlooked part of the X-Plan. An X-Plan deal limits the dealers "Doc Fee" to $100.00. I ordered two vehicles in the past year from different dealers and they both tried to charge me their normal doc fee. I had to speak up about it and they both changed it. I think it was just the salesman not knowing about this. Once I had them check with the manager, they both changed it with no hesitation. On the Tremor I saved another $500.00 on the doc fee, added to $4500.00 from X-Plan pricing, for around a $5000.00 savings. Don't forget to check the "Doc Fee"!

Sorry, I’m quite ignorant. What is X Plan?

X-plan is a Ford supplier discount. It is a non negotiable set price below invoice. It is also called Ford Partner Recognition.

Interesting. It appears AAA members are eligible. I’m guessing this is something I being up to my dealer? I assume all members have the same discount deal. I mean, I have 6-8 months before my truck arrives I reckon.

When i was comparing the difference in my build 3% under invoice could save me over $2k+ vs Xplan, but i would also need to buy a plane ticket ($500) and drive 1,800 miles back ($500 in gas plus food/hotel)

If i did that on the cheap i might save $1,000 - 1,500 but i'd also have to drive over 1,800 miles and maybe take 2-3 days off work

AAA employees are eligible, not members.... If you don't have any other qualifying affiliation, join MCA (Mustang Club of America). They have different levels of membership, so make sure you're signing up for one that is eligible (I think around $35/yr). Also, note that you are required to be a member of MCA for 90 days prior to using XPlan, although it is up to the dealership to verify. If you're ordering, you'll probably have that much of a delay anyhow. Also, know that very few dealerships are honoring the plan right now. You are required to notify the dealer prior to ordering that you will be purchasing w/XPlan, so it does not work on orders already placed.

You should be able to find a more detailed thread in this forum regarding Xplan including all the stipulations, etc....

Damn. I ordered Feb 1. Guess I’m boned.

It never hurts to ask. The worst they will say is No. You are supposed to declare you have X-Plan as soon as you start talking to the salesman. They may work with you though.
To get started you need a "Partner Code" that your X-Plan provider will have.
You can go to the AZX Plan Log In, use the partner code to get in, and generate a PIN number. You need a PIN number to purchase the vehicle. You can also build and price, and check dealer inventory at X-Plan prices. The X-Plan rules are posted there as well. Here is the link to the Log In page:
