🛠️ What have you done to your F150 Tremor this week?

Look's sharp!

Was the center dash panel install real involved, how long was install?
The hardest part of the install was getting the bolts/washers under the mount in, there is very little space between the mount and dash panel. Install was probably an hour-ish but the majority was getting the bolts in. Side note, I did all 5 bolt locations, if you only do the 3 as suggested several times in the video it will be easier.

Literally my same struggle when I did it. Was difficult getting the bolts tightened.

anyone running more of a highway tire on their truck?

Brand new so since I got it:

Husky liners wheel well and floor.
Rokblokz mud flaps
Raptor skid plate
Gator Soft tonneau
Ceramic tint all around, 35 on front passenger and 55 in back.

Got the Line-X today, they knew about the error code after removing the tailgate and that’s why they left it on. For another $100 they sprayed my tool box too. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the the Diamondback cover from my 2011 F150 Lariat fits. One less expense.

That would be great, thanks!
Upon closer inspection, my clamp is actually touching the BR panel, so probably not ideal. I must've gotten it "close enough" at the time and moved on.

Thanks for the photos, interesting that you only have a single clamp on each side, my instructions had two clamps per side and the straps on the rearward clamps.

I am remembering more about my install now.. I also had 2 clamps for the rearmost section, but doubled up with the strap on the rail clamp due to the noted space issues.

Getting my bed sprayed next Thursday. What’s this error code associated with the tail gate?

My tailgate did not get sprayed either - but they didn’t mention anything about an error code. I don’t really care as long as that cover thing is on it anyways you can’t really tell. Glad I didn’t get an error or anything

The error you get if they pull your tailgate and do it is the reverse brake assist, sometimes it fixes itself other times the dealer can correct it, mine fixed itself just before I was taking it to the dealer. They weren't going to charge for it so it didn't matter.

I have recently been getting that warning. Tailgate has never been off. Waiting for my next service to have it and the airbag light looked at.

Bought a 401A 5.0 Avalanche. Ordered some stuff, I'll update once installed.

Exhaust
Air intake
Floor mats
Antenna

It comes up from time to time if something is obstructing the camera or when you have a trailer hooked up, if you have lights ran into your trailer wiring it can cause it to read as if you have a trailer connected, not always but it has happened. Just trying to help you troubleshoot.

if you have unplugged your battery at all, apparently that can cause it as well. talking with a ford tech, he says disconnecting the battery can cause certain modules to "lose their center"(aka become uncalibrated) and cause this error to occur. im pretty sure thats what caused the error on my truck.

it seems like a really stupid design considering the battery is a consumable item, so when it dies post warranty, we are expected to pay to have the dealer recalibrate stuff because i replaced an aging battery?

I did a stereo upgrade. Added an Alpine S-A60M and JL Audio 10W1v3-4 in a sealed box. I mounted the amp in the stock subwoofer housing and used the stock subwoofer wires for the signal. This combo was pretty cheap and made a huge difference in the amount of bass. It seems each source has a different bass level, so I added the Alpine bass control knob up front.

I also replaced the front door speakers with NVX XSP692 6"x9" 2-Way coaxials. I didn't touch any of the dash speakers, as I think they are already pretty good. On the NVXs, I chose them for their woofer specs and price and disconnected the tweeters as there weren't needed. While I don't think the NVxs provide more bass than the stock speakers, they are way cleaner and less muddy. Finally, I added sound deadening to the doors. This got rid of most of the door vibrations. I think I am going to add some to the back wall too.
