Black lug nuts

Thank you for this. One piece that will spin with a 6 pt socket. Just what I’m after.
Going through the questions on the site it's funny that everyone is replacing swelled lugs.

So are these black ones the kind with the outer shell or all one entire piece? Heard stock nuts on Fords are frequently known to "swell" (queue the jokes) 😁
🤣

Well tried to put them on and didn't like how they lined up. I probably need to order the other Factory style ones. I think somebody had a link here for those. I didn't do much research but thought I might of come across some info that this style is not recommended for OEM wheels? They seemed to hold the wheel firm but I just didn't like the way they looked in terms of surface area it was contacting compared to the OEM lug nuts. Maybe I'll keep these for aftermarket rims. That's what I get for ordering from a Jeeps website lol. Anyway I attached some pics to reference.

I know from previous experience that there is generally a difference in the flare (cone) angle between OEM and aftermarket wheels. That is most likely what you are running into. I can confirm the factory style ones I linked earlier in the thread do fit correctly.

For those that changed the lug nuts, can you share a before/after picture(s)? Would love to see the difference

Ordered and they do ship to Hawaii. Shipping wasn't too bad. Thanks for the link.

Interesting, did your original lugs not come with a wheel lock? Mine did. Also, the chrome lugs gives it a more classy look imo, but the black matches nicely with the Ford logo and has a more rugged look. Thanks for the pics!
No mine did not come factory with wheel locks.

Its definitely a personal taste choice. My thought is the truck has very little chrome overall, mostly subdued colors, the chrome with the wheel color just caught my eye. It seemed out of place to me. The black lugs seem to fit in better with the overall look of the truck to my eye. If the wheels were black I would have stayed chrome most likely.

I went a slightly different route got the rubber lug nut covers in an attempt to match the truck color.. can't show the whole truck as it's filthy and waiting for 2nd set as only 20 (need 6 per tire lol) included in first set ( 21mm) - Also those are what the Husky liners look like :p

Hopefully it looks better farther away..

I ordered the right Gorilla Lug nuts from CJ Off-Road for the OEM rims. I think their part # WHLLN40. Came with set of 24. I tried to get the wheel locks after the fact from them but said they didn't carry them for a set of 4. I ended up ordering from Summit Racing. The Gorilla # showing on the lug nut is 61148CX and Tag showing on the Gorilla locking nuts set of 4 is 96641 BDX. All are 14mm and 1.50. I attached pics for reference. There could be other sets out there that include the locking nuts also from Gorilla. This is just what I did. It can be a challenge to get things to Hawaii at a reasonable shipping cost. Some companies don't even offer it. I'm jealous for all of you that enjoy free to low cost shipping and fast deliveries.

So how did your combo work out? Do they all look normal in the wheel?

I like that. Thanks for the pictures. I didn't want them to stick out too far. Gonna order up a set like that. Thanks!!

Has anyone found a set of black lugs with 4 locking lugs included? I've only seen the locking set separately.

I just sucked it up and bought four of the Gorilla spline drives, couldn't find a set that included. Figure I've got four extras now, from the 24pk, in case one ever gets dinged/chipped.
