I was hoping that the production schedule they released was on point and they had caught up for the most part.
Yes, I was wondering that myself? How are they going to complete all the damn orders on 22's when this will likely run into calendar year 23. Should those ordering a '23 expect them in 2024? Who the F... knows? I guess.

Oh, all those receiving a '22 barely before the year turns over will be unique and can tell their grandchildren about the "Great wait, of 2022."

Great wait is right, but I am over two years on my Bronco reservation. Crazy my Tremor will be here first.

I have a July 20 reservation I have not covered yet. Not sure what I will do with it TBH.

My wife just custom ordered a BMW with exact specs and colors. Had the vehicle exactly 20 days from order. Yes, I said 20 days!!! What the heck is wrong with Ford??? Granted it was built in South Carolina but still.

Ford will sell roughly 16.3 million vehicles this year where as BMW sold 2,213,795 vehicles in 2021. The sheer volume of chips and other parts Ford needs vastly out paces that of BMW.

I read somewhere where Ford (all US Auto) don't update their chips often whereas EU and some Asian manufacturers update them much more frequently.

Obviously, modern chips are more readily available.

The only difference I see with the Bronco delays and the Tremor is that the Bronco was a completely new vehicle (Not Sport, obviously) and the Tremor is just a variation on the F-150 platform. So, even with no supply shortages I thought people would be waiting a long time for a Bronco just due to demand - which was off the charts.

In the Before-Times, my dealer said that a custom order usually took no more than 8 weeks, 10 at the most. Still not 20 days.

My bet is that BMW doesnt really do custom orders like Ford, but rather just builds what they want and allocates them to dealers, and then dealers match up what they get with what customers have "ordered". Kia and Hyundai do it this way. That, or the dealer just happened to have a stock order that matched.

I ordered mine on Feb. 04, 22. The dealer told me I'd have it in the 1st half of July. I received those letters twice during the waiting period including the 2nd after my truck was built and shipped. Mine came in the first week of July as my dealer predicted. Just form letters everybody gets.

They also likely have significantly less demand.

Sadly interest rates keep going up while they delay our trucks ☹️ Fed going to raise rates another 0.75% on 9/20.

I’m trying to lock in my financing before 9/20 and pray truck is delivered within the rate lock in period.

Yep, being on chip hold with no ETA is a bunch of BS.

Welp, this is not what I was expecting

Order submitted on August 10th and I was fully anticipating and preparing for the damn thing to not get built until at least April.

Suppose I gotta start figuring out my game plan for getting rid of the Tacoma six months earlier than I was expecting.

(yes I'm fully aware this could still get delayed into the end of eternity)

Just for reference, my order is as follows:
- Avalanche 402A
- 3.5L V6
- 67X (PARK ASSIST REMOVAL)
- 53A (TRAILER TOW PACKAGE)
- 52X (START-STOP REMOVAL)
- 61T (TORSEN DIFF)
- 50M (WORK SURFACE)
- 68L (BED UTILITY PACKAGE)

I was just coming here to post the same thing. I got the same email with the same date. I ordered August 11th through Granger. 402A Avalanche as well. I was sure it was going to be February/March based on posts here!

Honestly I'd prefer a longer lead time. Give me a few more months to see if the economy heads down the shitter and avoid having to do every mountain pass between Iowa and Seattle smack dab in the middle of winter.

Saving grace being that the price that Granger provides basically ensures I'll never be underwater relative to the value of vehicles being sold in the PNW.
