What's new

DEAL 3% Under Invoice on any F-150 Tremor Order

Has anyone that bought your truck through Granger looked in to having a local (Des Moines area) truck shop install a leveling kit & swap tires before you picked up your truck? A quick google search shows a few shops; just wondering if anyone has tried this

It’s unfortunate Granger can’t do a few of these things at the dealership; would be super convenient & could be a cash flow adder with the volume of trucks going through there

Lady on the phone said it was a staffing issue
& they couldn’t get enough/quality technicians

I am wanting that rake gone asap!! LOL

& hoping I can offset some of the tire upgrade cost by trading in/selling the new takeoffs
Only way I see that working is if you complete the purchase over the phone/online. Then arrange for the third party shop to pick it up.

That definitely makes sense due to the liability involved

Maybe I’ll spend a day in Des Moines before making the drive back to west Texas

I, nicely, gave the salesperson the WTF on the 1.5 weeks. It’s now 1 week haha.

I get it , and assuming they have a very robust PDI process since they are selling to people all over the country so want everything taken care of before pickup and not having to deal with local dealerships, etc.

It’s been 7 months, so what’s another 7 days I guess.

Does anyone know if Granger offers the spray in bed liner? I was hoping they would but if not I'll just find someone back home.

Highly doubt it. I’ve asked about bedrug install and ceramic coating they’re not offering much if any services due to staffing shortages right now. But, I don’t know for sure I’d just email them.

Not anymore. They were a few months back but Chip told me no more.

As far as the 1.5 weeks for pdi- I think mine was less than a week.

You guys will understand when you go to pick up your trucks. They are doing a ton of volume on custom orders. They have a whole separate building dedicated just to handling the custom orders. This is the only car dealership I’ve been to where every single person is busy working and not sitting around ripping lung darts.

Anyone know/ have experience of a reliable car shipping company? Trying to have my vehicle shipped from Granger in the near future. Anything helps. Thanks guys.

IT'S A MIRACLE!!

I'm really hoping they can have it ready by Thursday so I can fly in and be home by Friday night. Work some magic @zach@granger !!

Congrats-mine arrived a week ago last Friday.

I asked to pick it up today, not ready. I asked to pick it up Monday-no go either. It will likely be another week for me-but maybe they will get you processed quicker.

Call chip and tell him you don’t need it washed or anything. Just check out the critical stuff and have her ready!
I just sent him a text then got a call from Ashleigh telling me it wouldn't be ready until the 8th, she was a little too firm about it for my taste to be honest. I asked her to do what she could to get it ready in 6 days....

Same. I’m getting the impression it’s the finance department that is super busy that may be causing delays. I’m not even financing which makes it more frustrating.

Disappointing because everything has gone so well with Granger so far, but I guess saving a few thousand is the price we pay for a longer wait.

Also not financing. So roll it off the truck, as long as it's not damaged, I'll hand over the check. Doesn't even need a wash, it's got an 1100 mile trip home after all.

I just followed up with this email, I may have been a little short with her on the phone, just was surprised she was taking a hard line on the 1.5 weeks.

Ashleigh,

Just to follow up on our phone conversation, if this makes a difference, I am not financing this purchase. And I've got an 1100 mile trip home, so no need to spend much time "detailing" it. As long as there is no damage, I'll hand over the certified check and be on my way. Again, I'm not trying to be unreasonable, but 6 days to check over damage should be doable I would think?

Any thing you can do to make this work would be greatly appreciated, Johnson Bannerman

Keep fighting the good fight. After many exchanges I’ve just accepted it will be another week till I can get mine. It may be “ready” before then but life/work kinda gets in the way so earliest I can make 5 hr drive is next Friday unless I miraculously get a call and can pick it up Monday.

Still no updates on when I can pick mine up. Was physically delivered on 7/23.

Anyone else been “scheduled” for Granger pickup? This whole process-one thing after another.
