Well ya got all the other cool toys I figured for sure you'd have the magic sauce

The inserts are so much nicer than spending 20hr+ on a print and cross threading or popping walls off infill. I actually use an old dremel "drill press" to try and get a more consistent angle. Though half the time I'm impatient and just yolo it with a long bolt and a cigar lighter

I haven’t tried these inserts until today. So I hadn’t invested in the proper tips or a stand for it. If I end up doing this a lot more, a drill press style press will definitely be on the list.

I use PLA for quick prototyping. It’s just so easy to print on the Bambu. I do have some petg, but I’ve moved to using ASA for anything that’s gonna be outside due to its temp capability and UV resistance. PETG is good but I’ve warped it pretty good just leaving it in the sun.

I will say, petg and pla are great compliments as a support material for each other. They don’t stick together very well. So use one as the support material for another and you can make the interface super close and they just peel apart. Helps really improve the surface quality of overhang surfaces.

I didnt invest...I just had the dremel thing laying around from other projects and kinda rigged it to hold the soldering iron steady/at proper angle lol. They're addictive...especially with all the cool shit you've been cranking out.

I've been doing nothing but PLA and PETG prior to the Bambu so ASA is def on the list. I just gotta get some shit figured out given this thing lives in my office with me. Really want to get at least PETG playing nice with this carbon fiber pattern plate. I haven't had a whole lot of issues with warping but I don't think I've had anything full time full sun
