Any diff drop kit will have it exposed. BDS welds in a little ramp/skid for their logo plate.Correct, but the one I was referring on the RC site has it removed. Also, does the skid plate leave the new front cross member exposed? A dude on the F150 page installed a Zone 4" on a Lariat and the a tremor skid plate and the cross member is no longer protected the same.
Correct. I'm not super concerned about keeping my skid plate off it doesn't offer protection. I'd likely modify the existing one or see what it would take to fab one that retains the full functionality. Mine isn't going to be mall crawlerAny diff drop kit will have it exposed. So you thinking running stock wheels if they offer the 4” in the vertex? If that works ur be very interested in doing that. Thanks, it looks like there is room for an 18.
I like the look of the stock 18's, but I would still go aftermarket. I like the ICON Compressor, its a 18x9 +6. it would also work with the BDS kits. But if the pic is real with the stock 18's, that put it at the top of the list as of now. I am still waiting on my truck so I hope Yeti gets the Icons on to see where that kit lands. If that looks good I would probably drop to a 17" wheel. So you thinking running stock wheels if they offer the 4” in the vertex? If that works ur be very interested in doing that.
Gotcha, I also like the look of the stick wheels which is why I already bought my tires, so I’m sticking with 18’s even if I go aftermarket.I like the look of the stock 18's, but I would still go aftermarket. Bad ass looking Raptor!I actually also liked the stock wheels, I wasn't planning on moving up to 20's until the RC rep said that's what their kit suggested. So I just had the shop find a set of wheels that come in 20's in bronze. As I'm partial to Methods & 17's for offroad, and this things going to see HWY miles only. When it's time to play around I utilize the old girl pictured. I was on the fence hard about getting with my friend over at TMX and just throwing on some gen3 oem raptor parts for the tremor. But I had to shut it down on that and just keep this thing between the lines for being a truck that goes from point a to point b comfortably and stay on the asphalt.
What offset/width did you go with on the wheels and tires?Hi guy, just registered to the forum. I actually had my local shop install the 4" RC kit a couple of days ago. Threw on a set of 20" Fuel wheels in bronze along with some 35" Nittos. Honestly the truck rides fine, if not the rear suspension feeling a little stiffer and not as spongey as prior with the oem shocks. Just put it on the HWY today and used BlueCruise for around 200 miles so everything there's is all good.
