402A Deliveries?

I’m just north of you in Vancouver WA! Which dealership did you go through?
I ordered through Gresham Ford. The salesman i worked with is a very nice guy and i would consider doing business with them again.

That said i was unhappy with how xplan worked which is not great imop. Normally you buy a truck on xplan it gets there fast and there are no issues. Of course the one time i order using xplan it takes my truck 8 months to arrive and there are 2 large price increases during that time. End of the day i purchased using xplan and saved $4,900 under current 10/21 MSRP for my build. That sounds like a great deal but in fact it is almost as high as the MSRP when i ordered the truck on 2/16.

In hindsight If i were to order a Tremor again (or if i order a 250 Tremor down the line) i would go with Granger. At the time i made my decision Granger was still $1k cheaper but not enough for me to deal with the hassle of flying there and driving back. Boy was I wrong, once all of the price hikes are factored in i probably would have saved $3k buying from Granger and that includes the price of a plane ticket, hotel, and gas to drive back.

Edit: If we were in normal times with stock on the lot i would consider buying local with xplan. However i have read all cars are expected to increase 10% in 2023 and likely the same again in 2024. In this environment, locking in a price today is more valuble than ever which is why i would advise anyone to buy from Granger instead of xplan.

Price protection is what I and anyone who signed prior to April locked in. That is including x plan. Will Granger not increase their prices along with everyone else while still providing their 3% deal?

Every forum i read xplan is usually only honored at time of delivery. I know from my personal experience as well as another member on this forum. You might get lucky and find a dealer who will honor it at time of order, but I wouldn’t count on it.

If I were you I would expect them to not honor xplan pricing at time of order. Choice will then be up to you to either accept current discount or walk away. They win either way, if you walk away they sell your Tremor for $5-10k over msrp to someone else. They could literally care less if you are annoyed by this.

Granger gives you a signed invoice at time you place your order with a final price on it. I have not heard anyone say they deviate from this price. Of course if I put in an order today it will be higher than someone who did so 6 months ago because all the prior price increases will rolled into the new invoice/msrp price.

I have screen shots of the x plan price at the time of my order, I also have my signed pricing with the dealer and my dealer writing "x plan price pending" on.the agreement. I already spoke to Ford and they state the dealer will get the compensation from Ford on the price difference as related to price protection (letter attached). I am already in conversation with Ford's executive office and will stay close to this. Price protection is price protection no matter how they want to slice it and a $3200 difference from January and now is worth it.

Thanks and i hope you do get xplan price at time of order! My worry would be with the "x plan price pending" language. When i placed my order i had a signed invoice too but it didnt show the final xplan price, only the msrp at time of order was clearly stated.

To be clear, i would not have been willing to pay over the MSRP at time of my order. The current xplan deal they showed me was still $1k below Feb MSRP and $4,900 below current MSRP.

I agree here. My logic is I have invoice pricing at time of order along with pending x-plan pricing on the invoice and what x-plan pricing was at base from Ford's website. I hope this will work but we will see.

I figured it out. In the price protection the dealer submits a request for the price difference and you receive a refund on the difference from Ford after it is submitted (That is how I understand the price protection after speaking with Ford). Well my price for the order shows base MSRP at 50,735 and the sticker for my truck shows base at 54,120. That is a price increase of 3,385. The X-Plan price for MY 22 with my options is 71,226 and with the credit from Ford for the base MSRP price increase I will be at the 67,841 which was X-Plan price for MY21. So will I get the X-Plan price of MY 21? Yes, after Ford provides the credit to the MSRP price increase from MY 21 to MY 22.

No email from Granger yet to make it “officially official”; but I like this update to the ford tracker!
Nice! I got a form e-mail from sales the day it arrived (Tuesday), but I'm sure they're out of office today. When I asked on Friday, they said about a week for financing to reach out.

Looks like I was moved to ramp 51 yesterday but still show in production. Hoping the tracker updates soon.

I believe the dealer eats the price protection cost up front and gets reimbursed from Ford at a later point, instead of the individual. But yes that's how the price protection is supposed to work. Granger posted up a price protection form from Ford from 2016 awhile back I can try to find.

See below
I've tried talking to my dealer about final pricing several times throughout the process, but they never seem to want to talk about it.
I confirmed that they do X-plan pricing for new orders before I placed my order back in January, but they didn't show me a price because they said they needed to see a window sticker first. I signed a purchase order for the MSRP, and asked if they wanted my X-plan number yet and they still said no. I was received a Ford Bonus cash offer in May if $2500 that did not say it excludes the Temor so I'm hoping they honor that.

I'm just nervous that the dealership is going to try and screw me and not honor X-plan, Bonus cash or price protection when my truck finally arrives.

I would call Ford marketing and see what they say. I am sure they cannot deny price protection if it meets price protection criteria. As far as x-plan, did they put that in writing? Also, Ford marketing should be able.to tell you on the $2500.

The writing I have is via email that basically says they honor X-plan for new orders. Then I placed my order in store and they verbally said they would honor X-plan, but that they don't write anything down. I'm just nervous that they won't honor itm Dealers have a bad rap for a reason.

I would print that email and take it with you, best of luck.
