87 or 91+ Octane? MPG/Performance

Idk man I plan to rip my Tremor around like it's meant to be driven. It's not a minivan. 91 or 93 for me.

If I was driving a Porsche maybe….. puttering down the road at 45 mph….. yea I feel the horses…….
Which Carolina are you from? (hopefully the good one...)

Yes, its mostly illegal to pump your own gas in Oregon. (Some rural areas can now though)

The worst is when I drive to another state, get some gas, and sit in my car like a jackass for 5 minutes bitching about how bad the service is before I remember I have to get out do this myself.
If you drive through the nanny state of NJ, don't you dare pump your own gas.. luckily if you are on a motorcycle they hand you the nozzle ;)

If I'm not in traffic with adaptive cruise running the show, I'm in sport mode.

That’s pretty substantial!

Well I’m hoping summer and a few more miles brings better fuel economy. Had a trip last week and it was windy 200 miles . Mainly highway and I only got 13.5 MPG 🙁, it was really windy is guess. Running premium fuel. In town the computer say about 16.5 MPG.

How many miles on the truck so far? I was the same way around the first 500 miles and it has gone up since then with the exception of forgetting to air tires back up to 39-40 psi and changing to a different air filter (engine has to self adjust to the air flow).

Has anyone added a fresh air intake to their tremor?
see any MPG difference?

I get my Tremor next week and thinking of changing to after market.

if someone has done it which one you recommend?

One I saw with good reviews is the Rousch.
Dealer said they would install anyone I want for free so why not?

I put a lot of research into this. Went with S&B. If you read my posts in my "guess I was in the wrong forum all along" thread, you'll see why I went S&B. And you can install it yourself in 30 min.

I’m right at 1900 miles currently. My first 500 miles were below 14 MPG. I did air down my tires to 36 PSI cold but they run around 39 PSI after a few miles. Expecting a little better like everyone else is getting, but I’ll be patient and see what happens as the weather warms here. Could be a combination of shitty winter 91 octane (No alcohol) and colder weather and wind.

@BA73 if I were doing a tune I agree S&B is definitely the way to go, not doing a tune though. So I went with an airaid dry drop in filter you can see my review under the best air filter topic. Happy this far with that route.

Drop ins are great bang for buck for sure (y)

That's a heck of a fluctuation in the pressure. I set mine at 39-40 psi and even when hot at most it jumps by 2psi.

I usually get a 3 psi fluctuation.

I'm at around 1800 miles - started using Premium a couple of half-fillups ago ( prices versus pump cut-off, fill up at half tank).
I was getting 17.5 on regular.. now getting 19 with premium. It's a combo city/highway, with semi-aggressive off the line starts..

Tire pressure I try to keep close to 35.. when it's cold they can be around 33 and will hit 35 in a few miles. Warmer they get up to 38 usually.
