Am I missing some ambient lighting?

Mine was missing the cool kids lighting. I added it in. Now I’m just… ummm… screw it I don’t have anything to add.

It wasn’t bad. But I attempted it after 10 days off and being tired. All in all, pretty simple, pull the console back, wire the harness correctly (where my hang-up was) and slide the console back. Be aware that Ford seemingly loves blue loc-tite. I managed to break one console bolt using hand tools.

I believe it’s 6 10mm and one 7 mm. The 7mm is on the driver side footwell lower fairing. The 10s are 2 to the firewall, 2 mid console and 2 rear passenger side.

That’s what I used. It was the mid console passenger side. It seemed like someone shot a Smurf all over the bolt. Lots of blue loc-tite

I just picked up my brand new tremor last night. 402a. I noticed in the cubby where the wireless charger is I don’t have any ambient lighting in there, nor do I in the cup holders.

I believe there is supposed to be lighting in that cubby, correct?

Yes, the media bin/cup holders/glove box lights are missing. I retro-installed then as the parts are readily available, and cheap. There’s a great section on the F150GEN14 website, and a contributor that makes a custom harness. Took me an hour to do all 3 lights. Note: while 2022s have the media bin and glove box cutouts for the LED lenses, it appears some 2023s do not. Feel for a black blanking plug in the media’s bin, and you’re good. Cutout in glove box opening does not have a plug so should be readily evident.

Sweet! Yea I got all my parts in the mail. Now just gotta do the install! Mine is a 2022 so I have the bulb cut out in the bin. Why in the hell didn’t ford just put these parts in? They are 20 dollar parts.

I agree; to save shareholders a buck (and I'm one )? Particularly, when removed from the high end packages, makes little sense. I had a 2021 Lariat 502A with sport pkg/FX4 (dealer bought out my lease with $5000 equity to boot), and when the Tremor arrived on Nov 1, i noticed the missing lights immediately. The Park Assist and Stop/Start were also missing but I was OK with that and got a credit. Also changed the halogen licence/tag lights, with Philips 194 Ultinon WLED

Man I for the life of me can’t figure how to move the console back? What does that mean? Lift and pull? Thing is not budging unless I’m missing a bolt?

I’m assuming you removed the upper “hockey stick” fairings and then the lower fairings. First, unbolt the 7 mm in the driver footwell right by the accelerator pedal. Then remove the 6 10mm bolts. Forward, mid and aft. You’ll have to move the seats to get to all of them. If all of the fairings are off, you’ll see connectors, on large one on the passenger side. And one small black one on the driver side. Make sure to disconnect them.

I think that was my problem. Are you talking about the 2 10 mm bolts in the back of the console near the ground? Basically to undo them I have to go through the backseat. If so, that was my problem, I could not see those because I didn’t have my seats far enough back. I’m dumb .

at the back of the console, one one each side? Yes. Nah you’re not dumb. You’re just disassembling a 70k plus interior.

Ha alright got all the bolts off! The rear of the console moves up but can’t figure out how to actually get it back? My problem is I only have 5 10m bolts. There are suppose to be 6?

There were two on drivers side, and 3 on passenger. I can’t find the mysterious 6th. Yes all trim is off.

Looks awesome! I received my media bin/glovebox lights and led cupholder this week and John will be sending out my harnesses tomorrow. Was planning to wait until it warmed up a bit to do the installs but after seeing these photos I can’t wait to get it done!

Nice!! First thing that Really tripped me up was not seeing the bolts in the back of the console, you only see these if you move the seats all the way up and go to back seat.

Taking off all the trim is cake, once I got the console moved back, and opened , I was so confused lol. I only had written instructions and they were kind of vague. Jumped on a call with John and we knocked it out in 5 minutes. He just told me exactly what to plug in and where.

Highly recommend that option lol. It looks so much better with these lights. Really completes the center console.

I should add I didn’t do the glove box.
