Banks Rear Differential Cover

I’d recommend getting the LubeLocker gasket and ARP bolts as well
Does ARP now make Ford F150 9.75 diff cover bolts?
Several years ago, I remember looking for said bolts from ARP but they didn’t offer them.

437-3002

This is what I used. Found it in the Amazon reviews for the Spicer cover. I’m not sure if ARP makes a labeled kit specific to the latest F-150’s but they make the same exact as above for the SVT Lightning but it was more at the time so I got the Chevy version but it’s not really brand specific, just 5/16-18 x .750

I used all but one and maybe that’s why they don’t make a modern kit since there are two factory studded bolts as well. I deleted one and it was winter so I didn’t want to play trial and error finding the correct replacement for the only one to remain which was for the brake line bracket though I’m not sure that really needs the stud intact

I have the Spicer and honestly you’ll never even know the difference in passing. It’s the same thing with the Whipple. Expensive badging to go through FP
What's the point of having 2 fill plugs? Wouldn't one of them be the correct height for fluid filling and the other one would be off?

It’s for the variety of pinion angles depending on truck setup. A lot of 6” lift kits put it at an angle that you would wind up using the top hole.

Appreciate that lol! Makes sense after hearing that. Was a car guy before owning this truck so lifting was never on my radar.

Ordered the Spicer Differential Cover for my first gear-oil change interval approaching at 30K.

Additionally got the LubeLocker Gasket (highly recommended for Ford 9.75") and the ARP Cover Bolts since the ones that come in the Spicer Kit are apparently worse than OEM.

I have the RCI Differential Skid Plate installed and did some measurements. Going to be a tight fit but It should work.

Awesome! Hopefully it bolts up without too much fuss. This is my plan as well. As soon as it's due, I'll make the change.

I’ve often wondered why ARP doesn’t make / offer a Ford 9.75” diff cover bolt set. I guess the GM set will also work.
I hope they fit your new cover without any issues.

I was thinking the same. Summit replied to that exact question on the site, confirming fitment. Just strange though.

Now that I think about it, I seem to remember that one of the bolts in the Ford differential cover is actually a stud.
Hopefully it can be removed and replaced with one of the bolts.

They have the same length and thread pitch as the Ford ones, dozens of installs with this set on the ford 9.75”

When I did mine I replaced two of the studs with the ARP bolts, it was only acting a plastic clip anchor for some cable loom which I secured elsewhere. The third stud acts as an extra bit of reinforcement to the Gen 2 Raptor carryover brake line manifold. I did at the time find the proper ARP stud to replace it with just for show but there was no real point since it's all the way at the top and you would almost never see it.

Yeah I actually just decided to save the $20 and reuse the OEM bolts. Doesn’t really make a difference and the 12-point torx the ARP bolt uses is less common and I don’t feel like spending the money on a kit just for one bolt type on my truck.

They’re just 12 point but I get what you mean. They also make a set in 6 point but it ends up being a little more money for a complete amount of them.

Reusing guarantees fitment as well.

She’s installed. Would have taken 1/2 as long if I had a proper lift, creepers make things so Inconvenient.

Gear oil was in a better state than I thought I would be in, but atleast now I have a self-serviceable cover for the future. Also looks great.

Have not yet attempted to install the RCI differential skid plate. Will try later.

Awesome! This was with reusing the existing hardware?

Can confirm the RCI diff skid does fit with the spicer, slight modification with an angle grinder and it mates right up. Perfect clearance.
