Careful with Adaptive Cruise

Damn! I’ve let mine stop me in traffic and on back roads just to see how it’ll perform, it’s usually a bit later than I’d like but has performed as advertised so far even with the level. I’d definitely get it looked at!

This has been my experience as well.

So apparently I wasn't fully stopped yet, the truck was coming to a stop and then full accelerated. Looks like what factor said, when it got close it freaked out, which is crazy to me because I would figure ok it's stopping already, how does it lose a "target"?

Moisture maybe with it having decelerated abruptly if yours is like mine, it stops rather abrubt, as it front end came up with the moisture it could have lost the car momentarily. That really sucks that happened, I have no real explanation, just a guess as to what could have happened.

This is what happens when you play Candy Crush on the way to work instead of driving your truck like a man. /s

Watching YouTube, just kidding by the way @Cranbery .

So the dealer said it was because of the level, can't say I don't completely disagree.

They did the realignment of the cameras and all under warranty regardless of the level, i didn't ask any questions. They said they it did need to be done, so something to keep in mind if you level your truck and have the sensors/high package.

I also got the 15k service done and they fixed the reverse brake assist prompt with the camera/sensor alignment.

I'll say, i finally found a good Ford dealer. Dropped it off Friday, picked it up today, super fair, and great service all the way. I just needed to drive an extra 30 miles past the dealer next to my house, which was legit terrible in every way when I went for the first service.

What was the reverse sensor issue you were having?

My adaptive cruise is disabled, and will stay that way. I sold my Raptor to get the Tremor I have now because I wanted more towing capacity, but I am starting to regret that decision. The Raptor did not have constant messages popping up all the time about everything, and it has become annoying. As far as the camera deal for the front? Mine is going in to have it replaced because my high beams won't come on when the headlights are set to Automatic. I can get this to work if I switch the headlights from Auto to manual, and then back to Auto. When I do this then the high beams will come on/turn off when in Auto.

How this has to do with the front camera is beyond me but the dealer says the camera is the cause?

Ford is better than others; GM,Mazda,Audi,Subaru at least. Still leaves a little too much distance in traffic(on expressways), just enough for someone to cut you off. But I have never had any issues with it not working. Nice to have the extra assist just incase you come over a hill and everyone is stopped.
After level I will keep a closer eye on it for sure.

@Cranbery what's the update on this? Did you reach out to FoMoCo?

Nah after the dealer kind of blamed the level i knew it would go nowhere. They may not be fully wrong to be honest. It's been fine since they calibrated it.

Heads up if you change your front emblem you need to recalibrate it also because there's a camera there.
