Yeah....they are. I avoid oiled filters if at all possible. This is suppose to be the best, i guess I'll see if its any better than others in my eyes soon. First impressions were really good though.

Just got it in today and installed. Not much to report in the MPG sector yet, but I also don't really drive for that

Looks good though. Sounds good lol. Also painted the bolts to get rud of the silver on the air box (last 2 pics).

I've never seen a roll of toilet paper being used as a filter, Did you go with regular ply or more of a premium like Charmin or Kirkland signature?

Yes oiled air filter can cause problems with the mas air censer.

They're super annoying to clean when in dusty environments a lot.

So I just installed S&B yestersay. I have a whining noise that I hear mostly from the drivers side. Any ideas? I have a 3.5 didn't install the tube either.

Put about 20 miles and no CEL.
