Dash Cams

Here is some video I got the other week on my Fitcam:

There are higher res options than the Fitcam, but it does the job and is almost unnoticeable in the cab.
Oops…..🤬
I don’t think that’ll buff out.
Depending on the repair shop, that’s easily a high four to low five figure repair bill.

Ok you guys swayed me to fitcamx. Just ordered it

From what I recall, Fitcam doesn't have a parking mode. Has that changed?

If you hardwire it, it does. Not sure how much force has to hit your vehicle to turn it on though

If it hit the frame at all, it's at least 25,000. I had a guy hit my 16 XLT back in November of last year, was only doing around 20 when he hit me, but it connected right on the corner of the frame in the front. It was only about 2500 in damages until they inspected the frame, and they then totaled it. It did what it was supposed to (protecting me), but it's surprising how a small impact can total a vehicle out nowadays.

Definitely looking through some of these dashcams. Where I drive it's an absolute MUST.

This one looks about as factory as one can get. Installs in minutes! Had one on my Gen 6 Bronco Outer Banks and and my Ford Escape. $169 bucks on Amazon.

Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam Suitable for Ford F150 & F250 2021-2025 Limited XLT XL Raptor Lariat Platinum King Ranch Tremor, OEM Look, UHD 2160P Video, WiFi&APP, Loop Recording, G-Sensor, Plug&Play, 64GB Card

Mine took a dump. It would record a few days then stop. I have a VIOFO A329S 3CH on order now.

I just ordered the VIOFO A329S 3CH First 4K 30FPS Front+2K Wide 210° FOV Fisheye Cabin+2K Rear Dash Cam with STARVIS 2 Sensor 3-Channel HDR, Support SSD Storage.
VIOFO A329S

My Fitcamx stopped working, it would record a few days and then stop. So if your getting or have the Fitcamx make sure to see if the unit is recording. One thing with mine, it was getting hot. Mine was just over two years old.

Thinking about doing the Wolfbox G900. Just need to find an electronics guru who is comfortable installing it as close to factory as possible. The features look pretty kick ass, and can be oem appearance if installed correctly.

Easy install?

Following X2

Looking at a Wolfbox 900 for my front and rear cam as I'm installing a SmartCap in a couple of weeks. Anyone have feedback on a similar setup?
I have had the wolfbox front & rear setup in my jeep for over 2 years and absolutely love it. I have a garmin on the tremor, but missing the rear camera.

Yep…..those cheap dash cams on Amazon and other websites are what I call disposable dash cams. If you can get several months to a year out of them them, then it’s a win.

This time I didn't get the VIOFO A329S 3CH off of Amazon.

You made a solid choice with the VIOFO so I’m sure you’ll be very happy.

Just got done installing the VIOFO A329S 3CH dashcam. I know the rear camera wire needs to be straighten out (bucket list). I tried different ways to run the wire for the rear camera, this option still lets me open the window all the way. This dashcam is everything I wanted. The inside camera is mounted in a good spot and it see's both front side windows. It didn't want to connect to wi-fi, you just need to press and hold the wi-fi button on the unit and then it'll connect. I also ran the wires for power to the fuse box (VIOFO Type-C HK6 ACC Hardwire Kit for A329S Series).

22 Jan 2026 Update:

The interior camera will be effected by the sensors for the blue cruise at night. You will get a scrolling white lines in the video. There nothing with the VIOFO camera system. Unless there's a fix for this you might not want the interior camera. Since I don't have blue cruise I plan to cover up the sensors.

This is a great one I have
I had that one, and it would stop recording without any warning. So check it from time to time to make sure it's recording. When the one in my wife's car goes out, then I'll get her the VIOFO.
Things that I didn't like about Fitcam was it doesn't record your speed, doesn't record when you park the car and parking mode only records when something hits your car, there isn't a camera for inside the cab.
What I did like about it is that it looks stock.
