What's new

Deer = new ADD bumper

So I've got the bumper and started mounting lights. Have to do it in the living room because it's just too darn cold in the garage.

I went with a 40" bd OnX6 curved for the main light and 10" leds for the fogs.

Only thing is I am not sure what our led fog lights connector look like and there are two different types online associated with 2021 F150's...

Fog light wiring adapter from Starkey works great, however I need to rewire it to support DRL mode so it kicks on the fogs aux/backlight mode.

There were a few mods that had to happen with the bumper, KEY was having to use a cutting wheel to remove a buldged area...here

Also, be sure to use the new F150 adaptive cruise control relocation instructions, as the older ones are not accurate for our trucks

Looks great! Are there small bars in the side pocket and then a main middle bar? I bet that throws some light!

Yep, the 40" light bar in the bumper and 50" up on the GFC do pretty well... I live on a very dark road well out of town and use them every time I come home in the dark as well as when I'm up in the mountains.

What you brackets you use to mount that light bar to the factory bumper?

Finally got the adapters for my BD S8 10" led fog replacements done.

I wanted the lights to turn on for fogs normally and then use the backlit led mode for DRL's.
I learned a bunch about B23B4 fog connectors and how to assemble/disassemble and it's working great now.

They're kind of a pain in the ass but work like other ford connectors in that you have to pull the inner liner (white) out with pliers to depress the pins to extract.
Pin 2 drives my 10" leds just fine for fog lights and Pin 3 has voltage when DRL's are on.

So the trick to the B23B4 fog light adapters is using a needle nose to pull the white insert out from the front, then go to rear and depress white tabs on each side, then extract the white insert.

In this pic you can see the tab deals, as well as the part on the face that is kind of chewed up where I used needle nose pliers.
