Hmm. My lifted Taco is 21.5”, I would have thought Tremor would be higher…17 3/4" from ground to bottom of hitch with about 150lbs in the bed
What size of tires do you have on it and how much of a lift? I will double check again later to make certain but pretty sure that's an accurate measurement.
Ok so I measured it in the garage where it's perfectly level and it's right at 20", the first measurement was in a parking lot so it wasn't exactly level.
Thanks for double checking! 20” makes more sense. Taco is not a monster, maybe three inches of lift and 33” tires. So total of 4” over stock I’d guess. What size of tires do you have on it and how much of a lift? I will double check again later to make certain but pretty sure that's an accurate measurement.
Yeah I got to thinking the asphalt may have not been level so when I got home I took the measurement on the concrete garage floor which is pretty much level. Thanks for double checking! 20” makes more sense. I have the 4’ Bullet proof hitch. I wouldn’t recommend 4’ if not lifted at least 2.5’ ( that’s what I’m lifted and I use in upside down orientation). I like the hitch, very sturdy, good quality powder coat, tows my golf cart w trailer and 19 foot jet boat very well with minimal sag.Any recommendations for an adjustable drop hitch? I’ll be primarily pulling a popup camper that’s about 2500#s dry. It has a fairly high ground clearance and want something I can drop down when pulling a normal height trailer. Thanks!
Will your bed be empty? If so, you will probably be ok without any aids. But this is my truck with 6000 pound boat so maybe 400 pounds tongue weight, and probably 600-800 in bed. Not riding on bump stops, but spring is pretty flat, our leaf springs are very soft. Not trying to Hi Jack the thread but can anyone tell me how much my rear will squat with 860 pounds on the hitch? Do I see airbags in the future? 6,188 pound Travel Trailer fully loaded it will be around 8,300 pounds.
I think it kind of looks like there will be air bags in my future. Planning on cross country towing in the future. I guess local towing wont be too bad but long distance without bags not so much. With a travel trailer, I would just use a WD hitch. May not need airbags at all.I think it kind of looks like there will be air bags in my future. Planning on cross country towing in the future. I guess local towing wont be too bad but long distance without bags not so much. Thanks!
What is RAS? Thank you
What is RAS? Thank you
RAS is the real deal. HIGHLY recommended for towing and for no-squat off the line performance when not towing.![]()
