Factory B&O Bass Roll-Off Solution

It has 4-wries that you will feed into your left/right input on the amplifier
Have you encountered when running this cable and no remote lead, the amp always stays on? I suspect with no volume the battery would not drain quickly since these are not Class A.

You will want to use DC Offset for turn-on/off. If the amplifier is staying on, something is triggering the remote turn on, maybe a strand of copper touching the remote terminal? Also, the truck needs to go to sleep before it turns off, so wait 30 seconds after you lock the truck, walk away to see if it powers off.

Also, what amplifier are you running?

Not sure what tech they are using on that amplifier, it could be DC Offset or Signal Sense. Just keep your seats flipped down, lock the truck and put the key inside the house. Wait a few minutes to make sure the amplifier light powers off. In the Alpine manual, it states:

"If using speaker input level signal from the head unit, remote turn-on lead connection is not necessary due to automatic signal detection."

So it should be turning off

Thanks, it does turn off. Just takes a minute or too. After listening for a while I get the bass roll off a little more. Kind of the opposite, I have to turn the bass down on low volume and after 13 sounds better. I suspect the kicker/key loc I could set up better for lower volume and as I turn it up it would fil in better. Most music is okay with the roll off, I do have the remote bass knob which helps.

Yes, the KeyLOC on the interior speaker signal, programmed at volume 13 on the radio will resolve this issue and stabilize the system.

Your turn-off after a few minutes is perfect. That is exactly how you want it to work.

are you taking the high level inputs before the amp or after with the keyloc kit ? Also, do you sell that harness separately, if it is before the amp .

Always after the amplifier, before the amplifier is A2B data cable. That's why you need a ZEN for a full system upgrade to convert that data to a usable signal,.

Thanks, I have always done it after the amp at the sub. didn't know if the B&O was anything special. Compared to Bose or Sony in other cars just using either the high level inputs or a basic LOC.
