It seems to happen only when the truck is swaying or slight turns, even if I let off the throttle. I also drive casually cruising to some good old country tunes. This was the 2nd visit to the dealership and they don't seem eager to help me. I have since called Ford Canada 🇨🇦 and opened a case with them. I am requesting a field service engineer to help diagnose the issue. Seems like the issue may be from the factory but who knows.

I was told by the Service Manager that Ford has changed how they handle this particular issue. There was a TSB for this, and at first they were servicing it as you described. But now, they do not consider the service a “fix,” so they replace the driveshaft completely.
I have been fighting this with my local dealer since my truck was new. I keep bringing it back and each time they clean and grease the splines.
Any chance you have the number of the TSB?

I do not, I’m sorry. The Service Manager mentioned it to me but I haven’t done any research.
I was to eager to get my truck back and get the heck out of there.

That’s unfortunate that you have to put so much effort into having your truck sorted out. The lack of eagerness to help seems to be consistent with my Ford experience. Hopefully they will get you sorted out soon.

I see the Tremor as a premium vehicle, it certainly has a premium price, but there is not a premium experience that comes with it. Ford should be doing everything they can to ensure we are happy with our vehicles.

I’d love to see Ford prioritize fixing their quality issues first, and then their service department experience. I’ve owned Lexus, Porsche, and Audi, the service department experience with all of them were considerably better. Each of the vehicles I owned from those manufacturers (all used) cost me less than what I paid for my Tremor.

Just checking to see if your clunk noise is gone. I had both rear axels and c clips replaced and clunk is still there.
Sorry...forgot to update this post. Yes, both leaf packs were replaced and the *majority* of the noise is gone.....still a bit of creaking at times but faaaar better than it was. Another member who had this issue also suggested a dollop of heavy, weatherproof grease on each isolator pad between the individual leaves in the leaf pack to further quell the sound. I may try that....he suggested using this grease...

Hi all, new member here. I have a 2025 F150 Tremor just over 12k miles, and sadly it too has the rear end knocking. Happens especially as some have mentioned on turning at slow speeds over bumps such as pulling into a driveway/parking lot. Took to dealer two days ago and they dropped the driveshaft and greased it. Seemed fine on the short trip home. Next morning it reappears and i called the dealer back. I show up to the apt only to be told the next step is to replace the driveshaft and it would be about a week. I'm not totally convinced this is my issue or several others. Its not a start stop issue when it happens, only while turning and the frame is twisting and can be heard what sounds like both sides back and forth. I used some PB blaster in between the leaf springs where the pads go as well and it did nothing, didn't even quiet it down. If Ford wants to put a new 1000+ driveshaft in, by all means go for it. I don't believe this is the culprit though. My issue is exactly the way Nordicbeast describes it, a soft rubber mallet hitting the frame type knocking.

Been fighting this since day one on my 2023.
Been to the dealer several times. Splines greased, bolts checked, springs greased etc.
I am almost at the end of the initial 3-year warranty and need to make a decision on buying the extended warranty or dumping the truck.
Will be meeting with my local dealer in the next few weeks to discuss.
If they don't offer a solution, I will be going elsewhere. (Ram Power Wagon?) And I swore years ago that I would never buy another Dodge.
The last time Ford "fixed" my truck, it came back smothered in oil underneath. I had to mop it off my garage floor.
Needless to say, I was fucking pissed.

Fortunately, I haven't had very many issues with the myriad of Ford vehicles I've owned.

1998 F-150 XLT SuperCab 4.2L V6 2WD - Brake switch failure at 30,000 miles. Windshield wiper blade motor failed out of warranty.
2002 F-150 XLT SuperCab 4.2L V6 2WD - No issues.
2005 Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition 2WD - No issues.
2008 F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4.6L V8 2WD - Turn signal stalk broke at 178,000 miles. That is all.
2014 Mustang GT Premium w/Brembo Package - No issues
2015 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 3.5L EcoBoost FX4 - Leaking front passenger side shock. Replaced under warranty at 5,000 miles.
2016 F-250 Lariat Ultimate 6.7L FX4 - Folding power mirror failure to fold at 35,000 miles. Cold side charge pipe on turbo broke clamp.
2016 Mustang GT Performance Pack - No issues.
2020 Mustang GT Premium PP1 - No issues.
2022 Mustang GT Base - No issues.
2024 F-150 STX 201a 5.0L w/FX4 - No issues.
2025 F-150 Tremor 401a - No issues so far, but I've only had it a month.

So while I haven't had issues with my vehicles that often, I've had a lot of problems with service centers damaging my vehicles. Gashed leather on my steering wheel, got my truck into a fender bender, told me they didn't know how to align my truck, left greasy tools in my back seat, and the list goes on. Sadly, my experiences with Ford service departments are way better than my experiences with GM dealerships.

There is a reason I do my own work provided it doesn't require an expensive part replacement under warranty. They can shove their free oil changes, service plans, etc.
