Halogens to LED

Ok I'm issuing my apologies, no sleep, dark and lights frosted over. I went out and cleaned them off, inspected with a lamp and I have the correct ones. The issues started with my mechanic who stated I had halogen and I took that as face value. Upon proper inspection and coffee I do have the right lights. Sorry guys.

I would still like to upgrade to the 402A full LED lights. Would this be plug and play? For around 800 CAD it looks like I can buy both off Ebay.

well that’s good. If you would like the halogens though, I could swap you hahaha

I'm wondering if there's like a checklist online for inspection so when I pick up my truck I check off these things before driving from Iowa to Miami.... seems like the QAQC department at Ford is drunk

Have this forum open and bring a flashlight haha.

I honestly have zero clue, but I’m guessing that because the 402 has that dynamic bending feature then they have a different wiring harness. Just an educated guess, but at best it is only a guess.

The YouTube videos I watched last night show you must remove the grill to get to the lights. Then there’s a new harness that’s plug and play EXEPT you must route some wires through the firewall and de-pin a couple of connectors and reinsert the new wires. Finally you must change some settings using Forscan. Videos were for standard f150 and not specific to the Tremor. I think I’ll have a mechanic do it.

I love the 401a's LEDs and the automatic brights (freaked me out first time).. I would also be interested in the rear LEDs swap, though ;)

But then again.. maybe not $$$$$

Edit: Weird has security check for that link.. it's for carid.com .. did a search for "2021 f150 rear leds taillights oem" and got it..
The bottom line, $830+ each for the OEM LED ones :(

Wow and ouch. I wanted to do that but not for that kind of money.

I hope you

Well, after seeing Yeti’s issues it wouldn’t surprise me if they gave you the wrong headlights. I hope that you are able to get the correct ones without much hassle. You shouldn’t have to inspect every inch of a new vehicle to make sure it’s correct. I’m irritated for you.
What issues did Yeti have?

If you happen to still have the video links do you mind sharing? If not, don't worry about it. I'll probably end up searching around online anyways. I have 400A because I'm cheap and might upgrade the lights.

Does the 401 have LED lights for the high mount cargo light?

Mine appears to have LED everywhere with the exception of the taillights. Don’t even get me started on how dumb I think that is.

You guys want rear LED’s for the different look of the lens or just the difference in performance of LED’s vs halogen? Could always just replace the bulbs:

Sorry I don’t but I’m sure if you use the YouTube search you’ll find them. As to being cheap, so am I but I did get what looks like. $2500 off voucher from ford today!!!! Not getting my hopes up until after I read the small print and make sure Granger can honor it.
