What's new

Has anyone explored the Rough Country 2” front leveling spacer?

That is a downside of being some of the first to have a new model. I still have 2 months to wait for the truck to be built and take a train ride west, maybe that will be enough time for some more options to be available. Unless something is released by mid November, I will be doing a spacer to get rid of some of the rake and put some miles on the original suspension while the better options are designed.
Same...mine is scheduled for 10/11. I'm just going to wait because with my setup a 2" lift might not be enough. I'll be looking for shocks that go up to 3" and adjust based on my rake after I get my permanent load in the back.

I talked to RC and the 569 2” spacer kit will work on the 21 Tremor from what I was told. If anyone installs this kit I would love to see measurement differences to see how much rake is left in the truck after a 2” level. This is the kit I have been looking at installing once I get my truck.
Got it

Looks great! Do you have any measurements on front and rear fenders?

I have this kit in my garage already, but the truck is still not going to be built for a couple weeks.

Does someone know if it is OK to remove the rear block while we wait for model-specific parts to come available? I would like to do this +/- adding some leaf spring to prevent sag while towing (https://www.stage3motorsports.com/AAL1521-2021-f150-auto-spring-15-add-a-leaf-kit.html).

Any thoughts?
Which Tremor / Model are you going to do this on? Do you have the tow package (it has an extra leaf spring I think)? I believe some of the others are planning to install Deaver Leaf Springs.

Yes, I (will) have the Tow package on a 402A. I really just want to take out some rake before doing a final suspension adjustment. I think taking the rear 2.5" block out is a good starting point. From there, I would check the sag with a trailer to see if additional leaf springs and/or front leveling is needed - when parts are released.

I am wondering if simply removing the block would cause any misalignment or other issues?

Thanks!

There's now a one inch difference between the front and rear. About 9 1/2 in the front and 10 1/2 the in rear from the tire.

When your suspension is at full droop does the CV boot contact your lower strut mount? When I tried installing this kit today I found that the was an interference between the axle and the strut. This picture I took after taking things back apart. The interference was much worse at full droop and there was contact for the bottom 1” of travel. I ended up taking the kit off since the trails Colorado can flex out suspension pretty quick and I don’t want to worry about tearing things up everytime the suspension can flex close to full travel.

I'm interested as well if it would be problematic to remove 2.5" spring block rather than leveling front.

At a glance, it seems that this would be a better suspension change for running forest roads at 30mph, yes? (I wont be doing any towing)

Stange that i have a ton of rake but my rear block is only 2". Do you have the upgraded tow?

I took out the block without a problem but then put a 1” block back in to level it off with my quad loaded in the back. The original rake was 4.5”, without the block it was 1.5, with the current 1” block it is 2.5. With a 650# quad in back it slumps .5” in back.

What 1” block did you get and where?

I got the blocks off Ebay, though I can't find the link now. The one below is just a similar one. None of them seem to list for 2021 or 22 but I found that the ones for a 2020 fit fine. I didn't get the kit with u-bolts because I don't much trust Chinese steel. (The blocks would be hard to fail). I went to a spring shop and they custom made the u-bolts for $55.

Thank you!

I went to the my Ford dealer and got stock FX4 blocks for a 22 F150 and removed the tremor blocks. I also had to replace the Ubolts it sits perfect with a mild rake.

More and more I am leaning towards doing the AS 2" and the 1" rear block like this so I dont run into CV issues. Theoretically this setup would sit a bit higher than a regular F150 with a 2.5" level.

Do you happen to have the part number for the FX4 blocks that you purchased? What are the size differences between the Tremor stock blocks and the FX4 blocks? Do you happen to know roughly how much rake you have now with the new blocks installed? Thanks for posting the U-bolt part numbers as well. Your truck looks great with the new blocks installed.

Front from tire to fender lip is 6 1/4” rear tire to fender lip is 9”

The FX4 Blocks are 1” the Tremor blocks are 2 1/4”

It took less time to install the new blocks than it does to change the oil. I torqued the U bolts to 110lbs

I’m also running BFG K02s 285-75-17 on Venom Rex VR602s
The truck rides amazing, that’s why I didn’t want to mess with the front end.

Thank you so much for providing the part numbers and torque specs.
