Hood Lights

Looks Terrific! Really looks great and bright! Yes I'd really appreciate a couple Closeups with the lights off To better see the install, especially the center light where I assumed there would be some trimming involved. Thank you!

Sweet! I wanted to purchase the running board lights as well, but didn't figure out how to do it properly. Feel free to share pics when you got them done!!!

Oh and don't forget to use the Gorilla double sided tape (zarc14 recommended earlier in this thread). Much much much better than the OEM one.

I have a roll of the gorilla tape ready to go! I'm going to wire all three kits up to the Aux switches, so will be asking zarc14 for some pointers on the wiring (where to run it, where to ground, etc)!

Traveling tomorrow for the weekend but will take some pics when I get back!

has anyone measured the height/thickness of these lights? I'd really like to mount them in this slit, but fear the lights are too thick.

I bought those raptor lights for my truck and they didn’t fit that area…just a hair too thick. I had to return them. It seemed like it was bending the plastic on my grill. I was afraid it might crack the grill. Sure does look nice on @kevinkozj truck, though!

@kevinkozj I’d like to talk to you about how you installed those lights. I may give it another try.
It was tricky and even a little risky since the space was really really small. I would have to push a little hard to make the plug inside the grill (I did that to all excepts the middle one).

For the middle one, I drop the light from the front of the engine bay, and make it visible from the grill. Then I used a skinny and flexible hook from the outside of the grill, and finally made it.

My hunch is that the same method of the other 4 lights would work, but I didn’t do that since I didn’t want to risk it.

Thanks for the details. I think I was just too scared of cracking the grill, so I didn’t press too hard.

I passed the plugs through the grille and then ran them this way to the aux switch wires.

Thanks man! I ran it a few different ways and landed on this for the cleanest install.

just a little pressure and wiggling, really wasn't bad.

Finally got the chance to take pictures. Lmk if you want to see them on day time when they are off.
Looks pretty slick! I like the matching halo color.

I wonder if we can get the orange stripe through the grill to glow at night… just a thought.

Yeah that would be awesome. The orange color is really the hit

I got a set of these for Christmas and I'm planning to connect to Aux 5. Where did you connect the ground from the light harness?

Nice. I grounded right here.

Thanks @BA73 ...tried that spot before I saw your reply. Worked like a charm!
