What's new

Love the truck, hate the gold/orange accenting. Any solutions?

Same...I really wanted to like the new Tundra, but it's not doing it for me right now. I also don't like how Toyota is doing the packages, the options aren't granular enough. I have loved my Tacomas, just wish Toyota would up the luxury a bit. They just need a Lexus version of both of their trucks.
I don't much care for how Toyota does new models. Let's take the Tundra for instance, basically the same truck for 15 model years (2007-2021) then a completely new redesign, not even the same truck. Lot's to go wrong when every single part is new. VS Ford who just does a minor refresh ever 3 years or whatever. Now that said, it could be argued that the 2021 Tundra has all the kinks worked out and that's true, but it feels like driving a brand new, 15 year old truck off the lot.

Man it's so ugly lol. It's worse in person. Front and back.

I almost went for a new Tacoma but no way I'm paying upper 50s for a mid size truck when I got a fully loaded tremor for 65k.

Did the same thing. I knew I was going taco or tremor and shopped a bit. Went toyota shopping in person the day before I ordered my tremor (had always planned on going tacoma route). TRD Pro was ~57k (without title, tags, taxes), 2018 TRD w/45k miles was 48k (without tags, etc.), Off road was going to be 45k. Walked out and didn't look back. Got my tremor for not much more than the new TRD and that with taxes and everything included.

Just couldn't justify not having the additional towing capacity and less space/options at that price point.

I love the size of the Taco, but the size it also limiting for sure if you have dogs and carseats. It's been the best vehicle I've ever had for the last 7 years. But I agree the prices are hard to justify relative to a full size (and I don't care the the 3rd gen Tacoma at all, looks or drivetrain).

Tacomas are great rail rigs. My problem now after having an F150 is when I get in a Tacoma I feel like a fat guy in a little coat. Not sure I could ever downsize again.
