May 9th Build Week Thread

Sounds like most of the stuff produced in Shanghai is industrial/equipment, but goods from all over the country move moved through that port, and most of the world's chips are produced in Taiwan and China. Even with Ford (and everyone else) trying to source more chips domestically, it takes time to acquire machines, personnel, and raw materials, to ramp up production. And raw materials are cratering lately. As others have noted, they should have closed the banks sooner, but I'm sure the truth is not too appealing to shareholders.

There's also something else going on too. Seeing a lot of people saying they were just recently shipped and their ETA went from Late May - Early June, now to mid August.....mine hasn't shipped yet, so I'm bracing myself....assuming it does in fact ship.
 
Saw a guy on Facebook have his delivery date updated to October.

It's all over the place right now. Some are still showing June, some Aug, Sept, and Oct. There was a discussion as to whether this was Ford giving worst case scenario instead of constantly pushing thing back one week at a time and having their chat/phone lines blow up every time they do it. All we've got is speculation at this point, zero communication.

Every step of the process comes with its own 'fun'.

I can say, with absolute confidence, things became 10x more annoying once I got my build date and went into production. *There was some brief relief and light at the end of the tunnel feeling*

Just going with the assumption on a chip hold of sorts, have all the modules it seems, ford pass is populated and vehicle status is 'ASN'.

As much as we want answers, Ford sucks (not blaming ford chat or marketing). Everyone who I've talked to (for various things, not just updates lol) get the ol 5 star in the survey but the recommend ford is a "1" and a roast in the reasons why.

I was told by a dealer and a Ford representative a few months ago that my ETA of April 26 - May 1 was a "worst case scenario" and that it would most likely be before then. They said exactly what you said above - Ford wants to manage expectations and not keep pushing back dates.
I think you know where I am with my truck right now...

I've got to quit following this build week thread. At first I was getting depressed that some were getting built and shipped emails. Now I'm getting depressed that some are moving out to September and beyond.

Is the ford tracker not working for anyone else? Just keeps looping back to ask for order number and vin.

I keep telling myself that following and posting on this thread is bad for my health and that I need to take a break haha. I was completely prepared to do that after being told I was on a chip hold Saturday. Then the bastards sent me a built email. After all trackers updated and my dealer confirmed my tuck has been built and no longer has any holds....here I am
 
Tracker seems to do that occasionally. Seems like I've cleared cache and helped?

Did the same for a bit, TJE. Just couldn't get on here anymore and stress over it, therapeutic as it is. Then the same Built email, and voila.

Hey, at least f150tremor folks can sympathize. Wife rolls eyes, "just buy a different truck", etc. It's either this site, or Jack Daniels. Or both.

Called ford today. They are always so nice surprisingly. She said my truck is at the train station in Omaha. One more week to get it halfway across state. Estimated at dealer May 23. December 23 to May 23.
 
It's Friday! I hope we all get past 8 PM EST without getting the dreaded "THE PRODUCTION DATE FOR YOUR VEHICLE HAS CHANGED" email from Ford. Good luck everyone.

Unless it moves you back to the left, LOL
 
Just like clockwork I received "The production date for your vehicle has changed." email and my truck is scheduled for 7/25.
 
The curse of 14 Jan 22 !!! The Leo Beebes at Ford hates us. Assholes!! I recieved the 7/25 email athe 8:05 PM.
