Moon Roof: Pros and Cons

Just a typo when creating this account, it’s my default handle and I fat fingered it. Maybe it’ll bother me enough one day to ask a mod to change it…. On a side note my son has stolen it on x-box (I don’t video game) so if anyone plays and thinks I’m acting like a 13 year old.. he is🤣
I like it. Never change Cheif!

I was a CW2 as well. Did you stay on the rotor wing side or transfer to fixed wing before going civilian?

I like it this time of year….. leave the shade open and due to greenhouse effect, truck is naturally warm inside at 3 when I go home….

Stayed Rotor till the end! Would have been nice to get some military fixed wing to pad the resume with but helicopters are just fun and way to expensive to fly as a hobby! Judging by the Profile you stayed 60s?

I've had the panoramic moonroof on my last two vehicles (Kia Optima & Ford Explorer)
Knock on wood- No issues, even just having the screen open, like many have said, makes it feel bigger/brighter inside.

Even in the gray season here (Nov-April) - that little bit of extra light is a game changer for me.

Def tough decision, good luck!

I skipped it mainly to save the ~60 lbs of payload. And rattles bug the crap out of me, so that's one less opportunity.

I did. Retirement wasn't an option for me, I got med boarded out. I don't really fly anymore, regular flying isn't what I enjoyed. I always jokingly say I need someone shooting at me to enjoy it. haha I'd say about 80% of my flight time was around 150ft AGL in combat.

You aren't lying about the cost of flying helicopters! A lot of my buddie fly medevac or have moved into the airlines like you.

I left if off of my order. I have had it on a couple of vehicles and don’t use it that often. I even forgot that my wife’s highlander has one because we never open it. Decided to save the money and weight.

Had one on an 07 Fusion and once the novelty wore off I never used it. I eventually not only kept it shut but slid the headliner panel shut all the time, during the right time of day going the right direction the sunlight going through it was a bit annoying. Never had any leaks through, and it opened every time... ordered my tremor without.
