My 2023 Tremor got stolen - 1 month new!

take the speaker out of a couple air tags and hide them in the truck, although once stolen... probably dont want it back anyways

Yeah but even though the police can't get it if it's inside a building, depending on the individual you could always go John Wick or Punisher, not that I'm condoning such behavior, let's just say they would be rethinking career choices or at least a completely different neighborhood to target.
 
Your truck will be on a rail car headed to Montreal by now. Then container ship to Africa or the Middle East. Pretty sad how easy it is and how little law enforcement does about it.
 
What I noticed is that alarm system didn't go off, in other words, the truck didn't notify me that door was open nor started flashing when the door was broken into. I cross checked with my friend who picked up his new Tremor same day I did and his Ford pass got an alert that door was opened when he tried to simulate my scenario. My ford pass was still connected after theft for few minutes and indicated where the theives parked to disable ford connect. It's pretty alarming that 2023 F150 didn't alarm against security intrusion.

True that! There is a federal conference / meeting in Canada to address cat theft on Feb 8th, hope they can do something as Canada turned to be safe heaven for organized crime
 
Definitely organized crime.
 
Just for a general perspective from someone that is 22 years into a law enforcement career in the US’s 4th largest metroplex:
We are so overwhelmed with investigating and trying to reduce violent crime that we don’t have the resources (ie people) to task with property related crimes.
I could share some numbers/statistics with you but it would only frustrate everyone.

And with society’s well intentioned focus on ‘criminal justice reform’, the local district attorney’s often choose not to prosecute non-violent crimes.

So for many that profit from theft, it’s all carrot and no stick.

I have Igla installed on my new 2023 Tremor I just bought last month. My 2018 F250 was stolen out of my driveway in November, and keys were in a faraday bag. 8th F250 stolen around us in the last year (north Texas).
I had the IGLA installed the day I bought the new Tremor. I also had them install the Drone Mobile which tells me whenever my truck starts/stops/etc. It was $1200 for the IGLA but so worth it. Even if I give someone my fob, if they don't have the bluetooth fob that goes with the IGLA, it will not start and there is no way to create a new key. The system "disables" all modules unless the IGLA fob is detected.

I would highly recommend IGLA to anyone who wants to protect their vehicle.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Do you know if OBD port is also disabled unless access is authenticates?

The ford pass app is a basic piece of shit. Does anyone have a pic of the obd2 port?i haven't even looked for mine since I got the truck but after hearing this I think I'm going to tig up a stainless or Ti cover that will bolt over the port so at least they can't access it to program whatever and I can unbolt it if I have to take it to the dealer. It will slow em down but probably won't stop em.

Yes the obd port is blocked without the access fob. It disables all 20+ modules so they can’t use it to create new keys or do anything else.

That'll be difficult to encapsulate but I'll think of sonething
 
@Sindbad , I would send the vids to ford. Ford has to be able to put their techs on this to mitigate these vehicle thefts through the fordpass app or other. I wouldn't mind entering a few buttons everytime (like IGLA) with the piece of mind that my truck wont get stolen.
