What's new

New F150 Tremor owner

Here is an article on 35s on a F150 2021 — seems it will require more than a level kit. I may opt to just level and keep the 33s.

that's a big offset difference, though. I'm guessing those wheels are ET12 (maybe even negative) which would push the tire out more. With the 2021 bumpers, out is bad. Here's a dealership that does their own "customs" on wheel and offset use for a non-tremor setup

New F150 Tremor owner — guess I missed the run up. Former ride was the 2019 F150 Limited. I wanted a Raptor but found the truck to be super focused and lacking some utility I needed. I’m hoping the Tremor brings that perfect blend. I went to PA yesterday and bought the only one in actual stock at a dealer I could find within 100 miles— fully loaded Lead Foot. Best surprise is the antenna didn’t hit the garage door pulling in — clearance was close.

thanks for this pic, looks great, almost exactly what I have deposit on. In some pics the rake on these trucks looks really bad and in some it doesn't. Doesn't look bad at all here.

I am thinking I will stay with the 33s — I definitely want to learn more about “Fox Ford Performance Leveling”. What does leveling do to the truck warranty?

Also, Ford has done some work on the suspension already — will any of this complicate leveling?

”The upgraded suspension starts with retuned springs front and rear for added ground clearance and to help keep tires more firmly in contact with terrain. Front hub knuckles and upper control arms are revised while Tremor-specific monotube shocks at the front and twin tube shocks at the rear are tuned for softer damping at low speeds, with additional damping and control for more severe off-road events.

New 33-inch General Grabber all-terrain tires mounted on unique matte-finish 18-inch wheels offer added ground clearance and a 1-inch wider stance for more confidence off-road. A Raptor-style bash plate serves to protect front end components in challenging off-road situations. All of these modifications together result in an approach angle of 27.6 degrees, breakover angle of 21.2 degrees and departure angle of 24.3 degrees. Tremor has 1.5 inches more total travel in the rear and an additional inch of total travel in front.“

Okay, I called the dealership — they sell Roush also. They are putting together a quote for level and one for lift for 35’s (Fox suspension) — he stated it would be similar spec to the Raptors. He is researching anything different that needs to be taken into consideration with the Tremor to include what’s on the truck now as compared to a regular F150.

Ballpark is around $2000 ($1300 Parts + Labor) is what he’s thinking. I’ll post the quotes once they are complete.

Oh garage height:

No word back on the quote yet…

However, I did pull the truck under the garage entry for actual measurements from the back antennas:

- 4.75” Clearance
- 3.75” Clearance to the flap

35’s would be very tight but possible with an additional 2” lift.

Yup. I think you're set. That's great news.
Did you get the chance to look at the offset on the rims? Not sure if the et 44 or whatever will be visible

Oh boy, you want me to get down under the truck…

Good news, the spare is on a premium rim:

And I've just now realized how much of a truck geek I am. Man that looks good!

General has an ATX3 that is a 35X12.5 but I'm not sure yet what it will take for a 12.5" width. I know a lot of people love those KO2s and if that 12.5" width is too much, they make a 305/70R18 which should be right at 12" My STT Pros are 11.8 at the same size but they do get loud after a few thousand miles. The BFG 305/70s are heavier and more expensive but they should theoretically be a smaller tire. Same specs that I can see, too.

I’m not a tire expert — the rim range on the KO2s is 8.5" - 12.0". The Tremor rims are 7.5”, so it looks like a no go.

Crap that's skinny. For some reason I thought they were 8 or 8.5. But I agree, tire makers know what their tires can handle, stick inside their specs, for sure.
Yeah, I may opt to level and keep the same tires and rims.

P0H0,
Love the truck. I’ll have mine soon basically the same as yours. Thanks for all the info but my biggest question is how is that sound system????

It sounds pretty good -- I had the previous level of sound in my 2019 F150 Limited and liked it too-- the unleashed has a ton of speakers, including some in the headrests. Now I can't specifically claim to hear them in the headrest -- there is so many speakers. I just crank DIO - Holy Diver and enjoy (showing my age).
