onboard air

I would say, no way. They need a minimum of 5 CFM. I know the twin only does 3CFM.
The ARB single days 3CFM at 29PSI, and goes up to 150. I'm assuming at higher PSI the CFM goes up?

How much CFM could the ARB tank add do you think?

I ordered one of the blow guns to test it, i can just return it if not. Not so easy to return the tank though.

Is the tank literally plug into the compressor and plug the hose into the tank?

My twin is 3 CFM @90 PSI for running small air tools. 4.8 @29 PSI and 6 CFM at 0 PSI. The Tornador need 5 CFM and 60-90 PSI to work well. I have never ran a tank, because I like the Power Tanks, but they would freeze the Tornador. Maybe it would work in small bursts, but a Kayak is pretty big. Maybe a cordless leaf blower would work. I use one when I am washing my trucks.

Fozzy with the big brain. Just going to get the DeWalt one, i have a bunch of 5mah batteries too. Works for air drying my bike when I spray it off also.

I thought the Tornador was rated at 40 LPM @ 90. I think the twin is rated at 85lpm @90psi so shouldn't the single be rated just over half that?

Not sure about LPM, all the detail shop videos say 5 CFM and 90 PSI is the best set up. And the guys using framing nailer compressors run out of air pretty fast.

Why not buy a 110 volt using the inverter? Seems like more options.

Those don't really pump out a lot either. I do have an electric one that sprays pretty well for keyboards, it's like an electric air sprayer, and i can plug that in.

I think the tornador will be decent with the single though, and if it is I'll add a tank to see how it goes. I'll guinea pig this one boys.

I compiled a list of ones that I am considering in one of these air compressor articles.

Just picked this up. No way is it going to replace a twin ARB. But is way impressive for a battery powered air compressor to fill tires. Says it can reach 150 PSI max for HD tires.

I just got it at Home Depot

For those that went the CO2 tank route, where/how did you mount it? I picked up a built right Industries bedside rack to mount mine. What straps are you using to secure it?

Power Tank makes mounting brackets. But keep in mind it can't be on it side while you use it. They can be at a 45 or so. I found the Speed Bag to be the best all around option. It protects the tank from getting dinged up and makes it super easy to move around from vehicle to vehicle.

Thanks. I went with this option.
