What RVs are worth buying besides some of the old Arctic Fox, Nash, Frontier, Vanguard, etc?
First time having a RV so im definitely not an expert. These things are built using extremely cheap materials, on the interior at least. Ours is a Forest River Salem Cruise Lite. We've taken it about 4500 miles this year with a trip out west planned for the end of May through September/October.
For how much I complain about the materials, it tows well and has been stable every time. I would buy another FR product.

I don't have enough anything to tow either and I'm in no rush to get something. Be nice to have some quads on a trailer one day.
Exactly. I need a quad or a side-by-side for disaster response stuff, but apparently there aren't a lot of dealerships that like to give those away for free. 😭

They are definitely built with cost-saving materials. But, if yours holds up, that's all that matters!

100% would buy again. I think the 21-23 402A specifically is the best half ton on the road right now, especially with the 3.5. Lighter than most, tows better, decent gas mileage, does everything I need it to offroad. Only gripe would be that I often max out payload but that’s partly my fault for loading it up with options.

I can't believe how low some 1/2 ton payloads are.

Here's the new ride. Absolutely love it!

Get a Raptor
Then go to home depot and throw a couple bags of mulch in the back
Bam you at max payload 😝

To be fair, I also don’t like the width of the raptor, and I like how under the radar the tremor is
Only issue with tremor which is same on SD tremor is the suspension is barely better than what you get with fx4. Upgrade shocks and your good

Oh yea. Halo shocks and 35”s went on day one.

Towing and payload are what excluded the Raptor for me.

Had a '19 Raptor and was towing my 26' Travel Trailer with it. Was about 1,500 lbs. under Max Payload, but rear suspension is just a too soft even with a load leveling hitch. Had more "porpoising" on bridges and uneven roads than I liked.

Loved the Raptor, it definitely had plenty of power, and actually got slightly better mileage towing than my Tremor does.

However, the Tremor is a better all-around truck for what I do and I did change out the rear shocks on my Tremor to Bilstein 5100s. The rear of the truck is much more stable when towing vs. the Factory Shocks with Ride quality pretty much the same.

Best thing is that my Daughter and Son-in-Law have the Raptor now, so I still get to have some fun with it!

Respectfully, do you understand payload? I’m not sure a Raptors total payload is 1500 lbs….

I definitely understand payload. Was referring to rated tow capacity. Was definitely under payload capacity also.

10-4. You said you were 1500 under max payload when max payload is only 1000 for the Raptor (1200 if you had the super cab instead of crew). I guess you meant 1500 under max trailer weight? So your travel trailer was 6500#?

That’s pretty much it.

Bottom line
Don’t tow with a Raptor 😂
A dirt bike or a jet ski is about all they can handle without being nose high

I wouldn’t go quite that far.
Towed a 22’ Center Console Boat with about 350 lbs. tongue weight and total weight of about 5,000 lbs. and did just fine without being nose high.
When towing the Travel Trailer with tongue weight of 600 ish pounds and load leveling hitch, truck and trailer were both level. Truck was not nose high.
With the Raptor’s shocks, they are considerably softer than a shock like the Bilstein 5100s.
There are lots of bridges in my area and the softer shocks on the Raptor did not dampen the rear as well as something like the 5100s.
Don’t get me wrong, the Raptor towed the Trailer just fine and I never had any concerns with control of the combo.
That being said, the Tremor is definitely better suited for towing than the Raptor.
