Phone mounts you’re happy with?

So i ordered the bulletpoint one for tablets, but not for my phone or tablet - for the Livernois tuner display. Will report back.

One thing about the bulletpoint phone mount is that the phone clamp is metal and gets crazy hot in the sunlight. Being in SoCal that may be an issue. Already overheated my phone once.

I installed the BuiltRight mount (Pro) with the Bulletpoint AMPS 22 MM ball/mount/arm rig.
I could not be happier.

Its not as quick to install as some other systems, but it is super solid. Because it is so solid I can also mount my GoPro and my GMRS radio. Super solid over the roughest terrain and super flexible with where you want to swing the arm.

I have these in my cart right now though i have a question. One of the main uses for me would be to have my phone display drone activity as the truck is moving. In some cases I will want to alter drone manuvering. I was wondering if the 10cm arm would make this easier for me over the 7cm arms. Which length do you use?

BuiltRight with Ram mount....FTW!

Can you put your phone in the Ram mount one-handed?
They have a ton to chose from, so the answer is yes depending on which one. I'd love to have the Apple MagSafe mount, but still need the lighting plug for the CarPlay in my 2018, so I use the X-grip. Not sure it's worth buying a wireless CarPlay dongle just to switch my phone mount to a magnet.

I use the following mount when I want to use my ipad or radios

on our tremors it only works on the right side, mounted on the left it'll block the camera

I use this clamp for my phone, because I am super hateful towards squeeks and noises and it's quiet.

Looks great. Do you ever miss the utility of that storage cubby up there? Sunglasses…notes…Copenhagen…etc?
Thanks!
But TBH I have never used that spot for storing anything so I don't miss the usage of the cubby at all.
After having a pack of Marlborough's slide right out my window once on a freeway exit curve, (in a different vehicle) I stopped keeping anything on the dash.
There are so many other little cubbies around the cabin I just use the one at my knee or the center console for everything.

I can confirm these do get hot up on the dash.
I have not had any issues with my phone overheating yet, but the glue on the side pads do get so hot they sag down.
Kind of a pain TBH. Still love it. Thinking about taking the side pads off.

Hey Madeinchina,
Everyone sits at a different distance from the dash, but for reference I'm about 6 foot tall with average reach and I prefer to sit a little further away from the wheel than is proper. My arms is straight when I put my hand at 12 o'clock.
I have the 7CM and the 10CM.
As you can see from the photos I posted, I use the 7CM for the phone. It hangs the phone right above the vent and out about an inch from the dash. But you can manipulate it to come out further if you don't mind it covering part of the infotainment system.
It is very comfortable for me to be able to reach the touch screen and pick music or whatever I may be doing. I don't feel like I'm over-reaching or hunching over at all.
But I do have to lean forward a bit to touch the phone.
Obviously the 10CM would hold the phone a bit closer to me, and would probably make it a little more comfortable to use the touch screen if I was consistently using it.

In my opinion both would work, but the 10CM will bring it well within reach if you don't want to lean up at all.

Good luck!

Help me out here - what do you mean it'll block the camera? The phone camera?

Hey thanks for the follow up! I ordered one of each 7cm and 10cm. I figured if I really wanted a 2nd 7cm mount, I'll get it later. Thanks for checking!
